LANDRAKE concedes weight but his form is working out and won a similar rated race from an unofficial 123 rating in December. He faces a stiffer task from 135 today but defeated Corbetts Cross at Clonmel with that rival since improving his rating to 143. Path D'oroux and Intranet are closely enough matched on their recent Grade 1 meeting over Christmas and while both were well held, were good maiden hurdle winners who now drop in grade. In-form Spirit Of Legend should run to his rating but was beaten 24 lengths, receiving 5lb, by Path D'oroux in a Punchestown bumper last April. Ifiwerearichman contests a stronger race than the one he won at Down Royal while Glamorgan Duke is unsuited by this distance.
SPIRIT OF LEGEND showed himself to be a useful novice when a fine second in a competitive Leopardstown handicap last time and can quickly resume winning ways back in novice company. Both Landrake (second best) and Intranet are promising sorts with better days ahead of them though and they should ensure Henry de Bromhead's 6-y-o doesn't have things all his own way in an intriguing contest.

DROP THE ANCHOR reverts to hurdles having won the November Handicap. Winner of the 2021 Ladbrokes Hurdle, he steps up in distance over hurdles but having won over two-miles on the flat at Naas, should be suited by today's trip and competes from a workable 138 rating, under a 7lb claimer. Rebel Ivy's October win reads well, from a 129 rating. Suited by soft, she won on Limerick reappearance, beating Cheltenham mares Heaven Help Up and Queens Brook (both making seasonal bows) with a Grade 3 winner finishing fourth. However she drops in distance, on her first run for 90 days. Lucky Max won from 8lb lower at Cork and steps up in grade while Bois De Clamart returned to form recently and is suited by trip and ground. HMS Seahorse disappointed at Galway and was well held in September's Cesarewitch. Au Fleuron ran well in a similar race over Christmas while Belle Metal was coughing post-race at Limerick. Chaser Spyglass Hill has a low hurdle rating but disappointed over Christmas.

GO BOY was backed at huge prices when landing a Christmas gamble in an unplaced horses' maiden and debuts in a handicap. Lightly-raced and well beaten before Limerick, he is suited by this distance and testing ground and while the Limerick form is ordinary, remains unexposed. Four-timer chasing Penny Jar also likes this distance and while his Punchestown win is working out well (the third and fifth won subsequently), is 8lb higher and encounters more testing ground than his previous wins. Indie Belle has won just once from 14 hurdles but won over fences in December and wasn't beaten far subsequently, with today's rider claiming 7lb. Pure Sirloin is related to useful stayers and debuts in a handicap while Huit Reflets wasn't beaten too far during Christmas. Hide Out ran well recently but is a 19-race maiden while 12 year old Carrig Cathal reverts to hurdles.
MRS PAISLEY is yet to show much in a trio of handicaps but it remains early days for this 5-y-o, and having joined a top yard, she's tentatively put forward as the answer. Penny Jar, Indie Belle and Go Boy are just a handful of possible alternatives in what looks a fiercely-competitive handicap hurdle.

IT'S FOR ME won an April point-to-point and has moved to Willie Mullins, from Stuart Crawford. The well beaten runner-up has since joined Gordon Elliott, while the third and fourth-placed horses subsequently showed solid racecourse form. A faller in that point was Captain Cody (since bumper-placed for Mullins) and he finished fourth behind today's runner Ballystone in May. Ballystone was a 120,000 pounds purchase following that race, from which with winner and third-placed horses won bumpers. My Trump Card made jumping errors on debut over 2m4f but notably reverts to a bumper, dropping in distance. MAHLER MISSION, Aione and Shantreusse jumped the last upsides on New Year's Eve and perhaps Ben Harvey's 5lb claim could sway things. A Listed hurdle winner, the selection disappointed on his fencing debut but improved at Punchestown and goes on testing ground. Shantreusse beat the selection a head then and while conceding 5lb, is a proven heavy-ground stayer. Aione has overcome absences of 919 days and 729 days and returned following a 258-day break at Punchestown. He has a little to find and was beaten twice over fences last term. Tenzing beat Shantreusse by 10 lengths in November but, notably, is deserted by Paul Townend. Stayer Capilano Bridge was rated 134 over hurdles, likes testing ground and bumped into a high-class winner at Fairyhouse. Genois hasn't run since July, while Gars De Sceaux is 406 days-absent and Robinstown debuts over fences.
TENZING has performed to a very useful level in defeat on both chase starts and can get off the mark over fences at the third attempt, perhaps at the main expense of Shantreusse who is also shaping up well over the larger obstacles. Mahler Mission may prove best of the remainder in this useful contest.

SANIBEL ISLAND went five and a half years between wins until last October and has recently been consistent. His rating has climbed and while beaten six lengths by Spancil Hill in November, is 5lb better off and rolls along with slightly lower mileage. Diegos Way has travelled four corners of Ireland and parts of Britain recently, is closely matched with the selection on Sligo and Downpatrick form, and wasn't beaten far at Hereford. Three Loud Knocks ran well in a veterans' chase at Limerick and today's rider claims 5lb, while Legacy Of Dreams is a 10-race maiden who ran well over hurdles recently.
SPANCIL HILL confirmed the promise of his reappearance effort when runner-up at Punchestown last time and is taken to go one better here. Diegos Way and Sanibel Island head the list of dangers.
