Very little form on offer and the spotlight falls upon the newcomers. The market should guide as to expectations of RULING and Anderiego and preference goes to the Ballydoyle contender in light of the yard's excellent juvenile form at present. His sire, Footstepsinthesand, also made a winning debut over 6f at this track in the October of his juvenile season. Why But Why may be open to a little improvement after showing up well for some way on debut.
Edenshaw is the best of those with experience, but it's hardly an insurmountable standard that he sets, and newcomers Anderiego and Ruling can dominate the finish. The latter, whose sire won this maiden on debut in 2004, can enhance his trainer's already impressive record in this race.

After running in the opening juvenile race of the season, FLIC FLAC wasn't seen until last month when finishing a most creditable fourth in a Curragh maiden, staying on well in the final furlong. Vastitas is a dangerous opponent after hunting up Petronius Maximus last time and may well go off favourite but Dermot Weld's filly looks to have greater room for improvement. Money for the Wachman newcomer, Compelling, or Spirit Of Cuba from the Prendergast stable should be heeded.
On the proviso that she responds well to first-time blinkers, Vastitas is likely to prove a tough nut to crack. Flic Flac and Vasoni can fill the places.

A rightly competitive nursery for the money on offer with EMERALD RING taken to supplement recent gains when scooting home by seven lengths in a Dundalk maiden. That may have boosted her confidence and she's preferred to Gentleman Duke, most impressive over a furlong further at Sligo. Knock Stars is coming along well and should be on the premises, along with the consistent and closely matched pair of Jamesie and Expire. Petromius Maximus is also respected.

An impenetrable handicap that should provide a splendid spectacle but in which stakes should be kept to a minimum. Table Mountain really confuses the issue as he arrives in this Premier handicap on the back of a maiden success at Navan but NATURAL HIGH continues to give the impression he has more to offer and is awarded the most tentative of votes. La Chassotte is enjoying a stellar season but the handicapper may finally have her measure, whilst English raider, Mister Angry, cannot be ignored.
Table Mountain is of obvious interest given that he's an unexposed handicap debutant from the Aidan O'Brien yard.
