Of those with previous experience, Musawama and Sportsmaster make most appeal. The former, after a disappointing debut effort at Cork, was a decent fifth at Gowran Park while the latter was unlucky on is hurdling debut at Leopardstown, being badly hampered and unseating his rider at the fourth. Hisaabaat only got as far as the second in that Leopardstown race and his ability must be taken on trust. It might pay to side with the well-bred GENTLEMAN DUKE, making his debut over timber. A winner on the Flat, he might not need to be anything special to take this.
Sportsmaster was well fancied on hurdles debut (sent off at 3/1) at Leopardstown but exited early after being hampered by a loose horse. He can gain compensation here, perhaps at the chief expense of likely improver Musawama, though hurdling debutant Gentleman Duke is also feared.

It's hard to see beyond LAMBRO for the answer to this. A Grade 2 winner over timber in April, he scored gamely at Naas on his chasing debut. This is tougher but he should be open to further improvement. The danger looks to be Flemenstar, well beaten by the selection over timber but an impressive chase winner at Navan last time out. Monastrell, a C&D scorer two starts ago, was well beaten last time at Punchestown in a Grade 2 chase but has much less on his plate now while Gowran winner Westmeath cannot be ruled out.
There should be a good gallop on here, despite just the 6 runners, which will place emphasis on jumping. Lambro, who was the pick of these over hurdles, has a bright future in this sphere judged on his chase debut victory, jumping like an old hand, and can see off Flemenstar and Westmeath here.

Although he takes a big step-up in class, DEDIGOUT should take all the beating here. He's won both of his starts over timber - at Punchestown and Navan - with something in hand and there should be more to come. Lyreen Legend has won two of his four starts over timber - including a 2m success here - but was well held in Listed company and has plenty to find. Monksland is on a hat-trick but his debut hurdling win came in a Navan maiden and this is much tougher. Mart lane and Owega Star could run well.
Lyreen Legend and Monksland are both accorded plenty of respect but the one that appeals most is Dedigout. The 6-y-o has created an excellent impression in his 2 starts over hurdles and is taken to maintain his unbeaten status in this sphere.

In a wide-open contest, it should pay to side with hurdling debutant HATS AND HEELS. An impressive debut winner in a Cork 'bumper' she was a creditable third in Listed company at Navan next time. In the hands of one of Ireland's top NH trainers, she is sure to have been well prepared for his jumping debut. The danger could be the progressive Beef To The Heels, second at Downpatrick latest but still with something to find. Done En Dusted, Somedaysomehow and Gizzit can fight out the minor placings.
Hats And Heels should make a winning debut if hurdling fluently. Gizzit and Beef To The Heels rate the main dangers.

Although he's up 12lb for his chasing debut win at Punchestown last month, LUKE'S BENEFIT is worth sticking with here. The lightly-raced ten-year-old won a shade cosily and still looks open to improvement over the bigger obstacles. The danger could be Hans Crescent, who landed a chasing double in November but who has plenty of weight now. Moville has plenty of experience over fences but needs to raise his game while In The Haven has been hurdling recently but has shown some ability over fences and could make the frame if at his best.
A few of these have a fair bit to prove, so the vote goes to Luke's Benefit who has been in good heart in recent months, and duly transferred his improved hurdles form to this sphere when scoring at Punchestown 8 days ago. He's up 12 lb for that but may still have too much for the likes of Moville and Abbey Glen.

The stoutly-bred son of King's Theatre is potentially well treated off this mark of 99 for the shrewd James Lambe but keep an eye on Szabo's Destiny who could take advantage of his weight-for-age allowance. As all nine runners make their racecourse debuts in the finale, it might be worth keeping an eye on the market in regards to further clues but preference is for the Willie Mullins-trained UN ATOUT. The well-bred son of Robin Des Champs is related to several winners including Sappo, who is making a name for himself in France and, as Mullins can boast a 26% strike rate in NH Flat races at this track, he looks the safest option. Elsewhere, Silver Concorde must be respected for the shrewd yard of Dermot Weld, with Director's Forum completing the shortlist.
With no previous form to go on, the market is going to prove an invaluable tool in trying to find the solution to the first 4-y-o bumper of the year. A slightly speculative vote goes to Un Atout, with Director's Forum and Silver Concorde also worthy of the utmost respect.
