Got The Nac beat a subsequent winner at Newcastle back in December in a novice chase and he still appears to be on a workable mark. FULL SHIFT won a stronger race than this over 2m4f at Kempton on Boxing Day, the drop in trip is a slight concern but he should relish this good ground. Top weight The Grey Taylor ran well behind two useful prospects at Doncaster last time but once again looks vulnerable off this rating. This is the fifth consecutive year that Quito Du Tresor has run in this race but he has yet to win it and that is unlikely to change today.

TOMMY SILVER chased home Fixe Le Kap at Newbury over the Christmas period and that form was boosted when the winner bolted up at Warwick recently. A repeat of that performance will see him home well in front, especially as he receives weight form all of his rivals. The biggest danger is likely to be Sir Chauvelin, who was found out in a Grade 2 on his penultimate start but bounced back with an impressive win next time. This is likely to come down to a head-to-head battle between Ittirad and SAMETEGAL. The latter is the selection because he gets 5lb from his main rival and he was still travelling well when parting company with his rider in a Grade 2 at Newbury in November. His run behind More Of That since is solid if not spectacular and he can get back to winning ways today. Ittirad ran as well as could have been expected when behind the likes of Ar Mad, Vaniteux and Arzal at Christmas. This looks a match on paper between Fagan and O O SEVEN and preference is for the latter. Nicky Henderson deemed his Flemensfirth gelding good enough to contest the Grade 1 Tolworth Hurdle at Sandown last month and he ran a blinder behind the smart Yorkhill, suggesting the step up in distance would suit having stayed on well from the back. Cyrius Moriviere was pulled up int that race and has since dotted up at Doncaster and the six-year-old beat future Newbury scorer and stable companion Premier Bond readily at the Esher circuit two starts back. Fagan cannot be overlooked, though, and won as odds suggested here on his hurdles debut in December, but Delusionofgrandeur and Calivigny will need to step up.

Nicky Henderson won this with Dawalan 12 months ago and launches a two-pronged assault this time courtesy of Call The Cops and CUP FINAL. The former won the Pertemps Final at the Cheltenham Festival last term and then ran a close second behind the reopposing Taglietelle in an Aintree Grade 3, but the booking of Barry Geraghty for the latter suggests he could be the more forward of the two Henderson inmates and he's only 5lb higher than when winning impressively at Sandown last time.
