Amazing Alba was second in that contest and has to be respected off a 1lb lower mark, while Archimedes is another who competes under a penalty and lost little in defeat in a competitive Beverley contest at the weekend. Thornaby Princess got the better of Corton Lass when springing a track-and-trip surprise last time and both warrant a place on the shortlist on this quick reappearance.
