GOODBYE DANCER has a tendency to race keenly but did appear to settle marginally better when winning at Newton Abbot and is the one to beat now bidding for a four-timer. Full Day scored at the expense of Vosne Romanee at the Devon circuit, and has triumphed impressively at Sedgefield since, so it will be interesting to see whether she can uphold that form. French import Unanimite should be monitored closely in the betting on his first start for leading connections.

COOL SKY appears to have appreciated a chance of scenery since joining his new yard, notching up back-to-back victories including a three-length success at Plumpton last week, and a 5lb penalty may not be enough to scupper his hat-trick bid. Exitas is another penalised contender who looks open to improvement after victory at Uttoxeter, and he has to enter calculations. Discay was an emphatic scorer at Worcester and deserves a place on the shortlist but he has done all his winning over further, while Mijhaar has a touch of class as a Listed winner on the Flat and remains unexposed in this sphere.

SADDLERS DEAL is the most interesting runner in the field on the basis that he regained his confidence when bolting up off 12lb lower at Huntingdon and now makes his debut for the shrewd Brian Ellison operation. The step up in distance for this assignment can ensure he remains a step ahead of the handicapper and the change in scenery may have eked out some improvement as well. Long Wave rarely runs a bad race and he represents the in-form Charlie Longsdon stable, while West End can also make the frame.

Watch out for: Long Wave (2)

Saddlers Deal went up 12 lb for his recent Huntingdon success but he's fairly treated on what he was capable of earlier in his career and can make a winning start for new handler Brian Ellison. MANHATTAN SWING displayed a fair level of ability in both hurdle starts for Dermot Weld, building on a solid sixth-place finish at the Galway Festival when scoring gamely at Kilbeggan, and subsequently bought into the Brian Ellison stable for 38,000 euros, he gets the nod. Gran Maestro rates the biggest threat following his five-length Fontwell success, while Collodi bids to bounce back from a disappointing effort at Stratford.

A bit of depth to this novice. EVER SO MUCH brought up the four-timer with something to spare but the handicapper has had his say since that win. He will need to pull out more but he is a highly progressive horse and a mark of 112 may still prove lenient. Alderley Rover shaped encouragingly on his first start since April and he is back down to his last winning mark. Get Home Now has been knocking hard on the door of late and can go well, while Chasse En Mer looks a solid each-way player.
