The 87-rated Flat horse has quickly earned a rating of 118 in this sphere and open to plenty of improvement, he could still be some way ahead of the handicapper potentially well treated. Arctic Reach carries a penalty for winning on debut over this distance at Stratford but with Tony McCoy in fine form, there would be no surprise to see the champion jockey in winning form again. Slight preference is for the Ffos Las winner COOL NEWPORT who receives a handy fillies allowance and will be suited by the fast ground she is likely to encounter. Janet's Pearl, who is rated 67 on the Flat, makes her debut over the obstacles and should also be considered carefully.
Countrywide Flame is sure to have been well schooled and can make the most of his superior Flat ability. Arctic Reach, Blake Dean and Janet's Pearl look the main dangers.

The Strawberry One represents a model of consistency this term but has a tough task on her hands at the top of weights. For that reason, preference is for STRUMBLE HEAD who has what it takes to step up in class here and be competitive. Distance form in the book will hold him in good stead and the 8lb rise in the ratings doesn't appear overly harsh. Life Of A Luso should be considered a danger, likewise Zakatal.
Font has been quickly revived by his new stable and is taken to defy an 8 lb rise for Fontwell. Degas Art is another who has benefited from a change of scenery and should go well, with Westlin' Winds and Strumble Head also making the shortlist.

Exulto sets the form standard and is likely to prove a popular choice for the Philip Hobbs and Richard Johnson combination but preference is for PROFESSOR HIGGINS who is down to what looks a winnable mark and this could be his chance to bounce back to winning ways on fast ground that is ideal. Stagecoach Amber may struggle off this mark but Kikos is worth considering closely having held his form well this term.
Kikos has enjoyed a good spell of late and might be up to defying top weight in a race where several have plenty to prove. One of those is Viable, but he won this race last year and could be ready to step up on recent efforts now back on a right-handed track.
