Elhamri was a credible fourth at Doncaster recently but appears to save his best form for artificial surfaces and may be worth opposing him now back on turf. The same comment also applies to Ace Of Spies, second in the same race on the Fibresand, so preference is for DANCING WELCOME. Milton Bradley's mare was third off this mark at Brighton last time but shaped as if she'd appreciate the drop back to this shorter trip. C&D winner Chinese Democracy has slipped to a good mark and is also considered.

Witchry might be best in the circumstances, for all his yard possibly has one eye on the up-and-coming greys handicap at Newmarket he won last year, but Elhamri and Dancing Welcome are others that shouldn't be far away.

Debutant ABHAATH cost $400,000 as a yearling and is both Saeed Bin Suroor's and Frankie Dettori's sole interest on this card tonight so gets the vote. Goldolphin are, however, also represented by Harrier Hill, and it will be interesting to see how the market assesses their respective chances. Of those with previous racecourse experience, Minal appeals most. Richard Hannon's colt looked outpaced over 6f when behind stablemate Eureka (engaged in the Weatherbys Super Sprint at Newbury earlier today) and this longer trip is expected to suit.
Minal will probably be thereabouts if reproducing his 6f form, but he's vulnerable up in trip and the Godolphin duo make more appeal on paper. The market will probably give more clues, but as things stand Abhaath and the mount of Frankie Dettori gets the vote ahead of Harrier Hill.

Lastkingofscotland is a danger to all now eased into this grade as he has been acquitting himself well in handicap company, including at this venue, in recent months. Barista is capable of ruffling a few feathers in plating grade and completes the shortlist.

Yensi improved between runs in maiden company last term and would be of interest on her handicap and seasonal debut if the market spoke in her favour. With the benefit of a fitness advantage over the last-named, FASHIONABLE GAL is just preferred. Neil King's filly has edged up 1lb for her recent Haydock second but remains open to further improvement on the level. Marco Botti's Libritish, fitted with first-time blinkers for her handicap debut, is another consider.
The likes of Fashionable Gal and Ermyntrude bring some pretty solid form to the table, but it might be worth chancing some of the less-exposed types. Tenby Lady was disappointing last time but the promise of her reappearance is still fresh in the memory, and she could get the better of handicap debutantes Secoya and Heavenly Music.
