AMADEUS DENTON can defy the burden of top-weight here. He has run up to a fair standard in each of his three visits to the racecourse thus far and there should be a lot more to come from Michael Dods' charge. Roger Sez found several more gears to land her maiden at Redcar 39 days ago but that form looks slightly suspect and Lupo D'Oro, who was asked too much off when lining up in a Listed contest at Royal Ascot latest, rates the biggest threat dropping down several grades.
Roger Sez is perhaps open to more improvement than the likes of Amadeus Denton and Sea Odyssey in what looks a competitive race of its type.

With the experienced runners looking nothing anything out of the ordinary, this contest should go to one of the newcomers. Trail Blaze and Fine Altomis both make plenty of appeal representing powerful stable's, but PEMBREY gets the vote to come out on top. This son of Teofilo cost 200,000 gns as a yearling and an entry in next year's Epsom Derby can only be seen as a positive. It's also of huge interest that champion jockey Paul Hanagan comes in for the ride, especially when his boss, Richard Fahey, is represented with Double Cee.
An intriguing maiden. Bounty Seeker sets the standard but comes with risks attached after bombing out at Royal Ascot, and newcomers could well come to the fore. Trail Blaze and Double Cee represent leading northern yards and could be involved, but the well-bred Godolphin pair Pembrey and Double Bass are hard to ignore, the former getting a tentative vote.

Marie Rose ran a lot better in the first-time cheekpieces at Windsor recently (fitted again) and she should give another good account tonight, but INGLEBY EXCEED edges the vote in an open looking event. David O'Meara's filly produced her best effort yet when scoring comfortably over 7f at Catterick ten days ago and, with this longer trip not a concern, a 6lb rise in the weights looks fair. Desert Chieftain steps up in trip for his debut in handicap company and cannot be ruled out with any confidence.
It was difficult not to be taken by Ingleby Exceed's win at Catterick just 10 days ago and with the step up to 1m unlikely to pose a problem, she should take all the beating. Shadow Catcher may well go close if putting a flat run last time behind him, whilst connections of the well-bred Desert Chieftain will be disappointed if she can't be competitive off her basement mark.

THE CAPED CRUSADER could prove difficult to beat. An unlucky loser off 3lb lower at Ripon last time, he met trouble in running before a fast-finishing second behind subsequent winner Fossgate and this extra couple of furlongs can only help his cause. Cat O' Nine Tails is the mount of in-form jockey, Silvestre De Sousa, and a repeat of her third at Catterick recently is likely to be good enough to reach the frame while useful dual purpose performer, Advisor, cannot be left out of calculations despite carrying top-weight.
Advisor and the well-treated Tropical Bachelor will both be winning again before long, but The Caped Crusader is fancied to gain compensation for a luckless run at Ripon last month.

ART SCHOLAR, winner of four of his last five starts, arguably produced a career best performance when scoring at Doncaster last time and, although a further 6lb penalty is sure to make life a lot more difficult, he could go in again. Pandorica warrants respect following her workmanlike victory at Goodwood most recently but Nobunaga, who ran a cracker on his first Flat appearance in almost two years at HQ last month, is most feared with Paul Hanagan an eye-catching jockey booking.
Number Theory has a couple of good runs at this track to his name and could get off the mark. Dangers are plentiful, though, the thriving Art Scholar, Pandorica and Nobunaga just 3 of them.

FRANCISCAN is likely to prove a popular selection in the 'getting out stakes'. He overcame a number of traffic problems to score over an extended 1m2f at Yarmouth last time and a 3lb rise in the handicap looks fairly lenient for this past course winner. Getabuzz confirmed earlier Doncaster promise when landing the spoils at Hamilton most recently and further improvement should see him feature off a 9lb higher mark tonight, while Korngold was much improved at Goodwood latest and is certainly no forlorn hope.
Getabuzz got off the mark over a similar trip at Hamilton last time and is fancied to follow up. Course winner Franciscan was impressive when overcoming trouble in running at Yarmouth, while handicap debutant Planetoid can improve on his maiden efforts and also make the minor places.
