This will take little winning and GAMMA VELORUM will not have to improve much on a decent fourth behind the useful Regent's Secret in a Perth novice hurdle to oblige here. In fact, he has performed more than adequately in his career to date and may have more improvement to bring forth. This is Liberty Seeker's level after a series of poor runs in handicaps - he was a fair fourth in a seller last time and Tony McCoy is booked. Southern Regent broke his maiden over C&D in battling fashion and was far from disgraced when third here behind useful Little Lu and Sendani. There is nothing of that calibre today and the 7-y-o, who enjoyed a stellar career in India, should record a second course win. Bethany's Boy won a small Towcester seller but had his limitations exposed when fourth at Stratford (well beaten). Nevertheless, he should still go well, along with Cartmel handicap winner Peak Seasons.

Ursis was registering his first victory for 18 months when an all-the-way winner here last time and there's every reason to anticipate another good run. However, LITTLE LU has to be followed on her entry into handicap company after being cleverly placed by Alan Swinbank to land five of her nine career starts to date. She disposed of a couple of decent sorts here last time and could oblige once again. This competitive feature is made that much more difficult by the presence of two inexperienced novice chasers who seem more than likely to make their mark over the larger obstacles, That Look and Film Festival, with the latter looking especially threatening off bottom-weight. However, the greater experience of WATER TAXI may claim the day on this occasion. Ferdy Murphy's gelding keeps finding one too good, but he looks as solid as anything here in a very tricky contest.

The safe option is September Moon who has yet to run a bad race this season over extended trips, most recently when second behind Jim Bob's Girl at Newton Abbot.
