This could go the way of the David Evans-trained JACKS PROFIT, who saw off the reopposing Welsh Charger by two and three-quarter lengths over C&D on his penultimate run. The son of Profitable demands respect given he still receives 10lb from Alastair Ralph's inmate, due to being a four-year-old, and he is entitled to uphold that form. Gallopade finished in third behind the aforementioned pair last time and completes the shortlist.

WELSH CHARGER finished 2¾ lengths second to re-opposing Jacks Profit when the pair met in a C&D novice 3 weeks ago but gets a 7 lb swing at the weights on this occasion and could well be up to reversing the placings. His old rival is a clear threat following his subsequent success on the Flat, with Fuji Rocks also worth keeping an eye on.

BERTIE'S WISH caught the eye when securing a three-length success over 2m1f at Sedgefield last month and demands respect, despite a 7lb rise. He does have to shoulder joint top-weight with Killaloan, who scored by a length on his handicap debut over an extended 2m at Taunton most recently. Paul Nicholls' inmate should not be taken lightly and can give the selection plenty to think about, while Mamoon Star is another to bear in mind.

This looks a tight-knit contest, in which a chance can be taken on LATITUDE, who was only beaten a neck in this class at Kelso last time and is just 2lb higher now. That was the son of Shirocco's first try at this sort of distance and, therefore, he could have more to come. Tide Times has to be respected as he is only 1lb higher than when winning at this track over an extended 3m1f on his penultimate start. Another to note is Concetto, who has been in fine form of late.

The level of that form looks far superior to the rest in this contest and the six-year-old can strike. Not beaten far on either of his last two starts, NO NO TANGO has shown enough to suggest that he can get off the mark at the seventh time of asking. This track should suit as he looks to see off the likes of Carlisle winner Malaita and Whatsupwithyou, who hinted at a return to winning ways when runner-up at Newbury. Handicap debutant Spring Meadow can also have a say in proceedings on just his sixth career outing.
