Three of his four career victories have come on a polytrack surface and today's jockey, George Chaloner, is great value for his 5lb claim. Saddlers Bend looks the most likely danger after her comfortably victory over an extended 7f at Wolverhampton last time out, while Pab Special has been running well in defeat recently and cannot be discarded now lowering his sights.
Faithful Ruler ran well in a C&D handicap on his penultimate start and a reproduction down in grade should be enough to see him return to winning ways. Saddlers Bend looks best of the rest.

LADY ROSAMUNDE made a bright start to her racing career when runner-up over this trip at Kempton last month (fourth and seventh have both won since) and, with improvement expected, she looks the one to beat. Isingy Red posted a much improved effort at Kempton latest and will surely go close if in the same mood this afternoon, while Links Drive Lady is another worthy of consideration following her promising introduction over C&D.
Lady Rosamunde will get much further in time, but she shaped with plenty of promise over this trip when runner-up on her debut and could prove too strong for Isingy Red, who was much improved last time. Tornado Force makes most appeal of the newcomers.

NORVILLE appears to have been found a great opportunity to lose his maiden tag. David Evans' colt ran a cracking race in the first time blinkers (worn again today) over an extended 5f at Wolverhampton last time and he has less on his plate today. Sunrise Lyric would have every chance if recapturing the sort of form which saw her score readily at Brighton in August, while Decency is currently 2lb lower than her latest winning mark and cannot be left out of calculations.
Batchworth Blaise has found a bit of consistency and looks in good enough heart to register a fourth course success. Norville should be on the premises if blinkers work a second time, while Rubenstar is another to consider having won off a 7 lb higher mark over C&D at the start of the year.

Catching Zeds has shown enough in three maidens to suggest that she can go close on her handicap debut, but I CONFESS looks the most likely winner. The five-year-old is sure to arrive here full of confidence after his comfortable victory in selling company at Wolverhampton last time and he already has four course victories under his belt. Sirjosh looked better than ever when scoring over this trip at Kempton most recently and he will have plenty of his own supporters.
It could be worth siding with Sirjosh, who posted a career best on his recent return from 4 months off. El Libertador and Highland Harvest also enter the equation, the former making his debut for Jeremy Gask.

Plenty in with chances but it might pay to side with PISCEAN, winner of three of his last four starts. He's up 4lb for last month's Wolverhampton success but looked to have enough in hand there to enable a follow up. Secret Asset scored over C&D this month but hasn't proved the most consistent and looks likely to struggle with another 8lb to carry while recent winners Sutton Veny and Tornadodancer could go close but both have plenty on their respective plates at the weights.
This is a much stronger event than Secret Asset won last time but he should go well again despite a rise in the weights. Five Star Junior's latest run has worked out well and he too is shortlisted, but the vote goes to Edinburgh Knight, who was an excellent second here on his penultimate start and travelled very strongly at Wolverhampton last time.

Although he's only run once this year - back in July - TALAYEB looks the one to be on. Most of his runs have come on turf in better races than this and he might not need to be at his best to break his duck. American Smooth was a well-held fifth over 7f at Wolverhampton on his debut last month but could get a lot closer this time with the fitting of a first-time visor. On The Cusp was a close second at Wolverhampton last time but will find this much tougher.
American Smooth was well backed on debut and is surely capable of better than he showed there. He is taken to account for the frustrating Talayeb.

It should pay to side with the Irish raider NO TRIMMINGS. She's up 6lb for this month's 1m win at Dundalk but looked to have plenty in hand that day and has improved since being returned to the all-weather last month. The danger could prove to be Sunset Boulevard who has won off much higher marks in the past the returned to form with a close third over 1m4f at Kempton this month. Lunar River might not be too far away either.
Sunset Boulevard hasn't been with Jim Best long, so has to be respected, and Sheila's Bond can usually be relied upon to run her race, but it could be worth taking a chance on the well-handicapped Carter on his first start for Ian Williams.
