Second in an Irish point-to-point before winning on his Rules debut at Ffos Las in January, GIANTSGRAVE can make a seamless transition to hurdles. The son of Walk In The Park wouldn't need to be anything out of the ordinary but that bumper success is the best form on offer, and the Skeltons could hardly be in better form. Harry Cobden arrives for just two rides so it will be interesting to see how Jeriko Place fares, especially given that he will appreciate a switch to timber. Cinquenta heads the remainder.
This looks a match race between Gatineau Park and GIANTSGRAVE. The former sets the standard on ratings following a midfield finish on his debut where he showed signs of greenness. He is expected to progress and holds fair claims but it is the latter who is preferred following an impressive bumper victory over the winter. That form has taken a boost and he should have more to offer for a top yard over hurdles over this longer trip. Cinquenta proved consistent in bumpers and should complete the tricast on his hurdling debut following a wind op.

GETAWAY KING largely struggled when trained in Ireland but having moved to Fergal O'Brien, he wasted no time in opening his account. The seven-year-old has been raised 4lb for that Fontwell success but with an experience edge over each of his rivals, he looks to have been found another fine opportunity. Diamond Days and Jorah should both appreciate a switch to fences but, even so, may struggle to topple the selection.
Plenty are open to improvement now switched to fences. KING OF HIGHWAYS found the ground too soft last time but conditions will be more suitable here and on his penultimate hurdles start he recorded a ratings 7lb above his opening mark. If able to replicate that with the longer trip in his favour he should prove tough to beat. Misteroddsocks is another who will appreciate the extra distance on his chase bow and having shown a consistent level of form over hurdles he rates a threat off a light weight. At the other end of the weights Jorah also likely has more to offer over fences for a top stable though he will need to prove his stamina.

Followcato didn't get very far on his chasing debut and is turned out quickly in a bid to make amends. Risk De Pluie showed an aptitude for fences during his first campaign over them, but STAR OF DIAMONDS might be better treated. Emma Lavelle's six-year-old didn't quite fulfil expectations in a three-race hurdles stint, but he beat the useful Taponthego in an Irish point-to-point so is expected to come into his own in this discipline. FOLLOWCATO was well fancied for his chase debut but didn't get far. He looks on a generous mark on his previous maiden hurdle form which has worked out well so is fancied to make amends here with the longer trip likely to be in his favour. Eureka Creek hinted at a revival last time over hurdles and has dropped a fair way in the weights. SCORPIO RISING showed the benefit of a summer break when making it second-time lucky over obstacles in the hands of Sean Bowen at Perth last month. The champion jockey keeps the partnership intact and Olly Murphy's grey can follow up on his handicap debut. Ski Lodge also goes handicapping on the back of a win, although that came at Haydock almost a year ago. Another Fine Mess broke through at Warwick when last seen, but he was keen so the step up from 2m may not be ideal.
SCORPIO RISING did well to win conceding a fitness edge last time matching his current mark of 113 on ratings. He's expected to come on for that run and is open to progress in handicaps so gets the verdict. The class angle in the race is Whatsupwithyou and though he has enthusiasm concerns he was in good form until his latest run where he had excuses. Despite his big weight he looks the main danger ahead of Yellow Star who arrives fit from the flat and is generally consistent in this sphere.

JOREBEL's winning spree came to an end at Plumpton, but he probably bumped into a rival that little bit better handicapped. There was certainly no disgrace in finishing second and Chris Gordon's six-year-old could have more to offer now he goes chasing. No No Fizz was last of three at Fakenham on her chasing bow, but that did come after an absence so better is expected. Rocks Up Late was a solid third at Worcester, but seems to reserve his best for that track. Mutual Respect occupied the same position after wind surgery at Bangor and could be the chief threat.
IRISH CHORUS failed to win over hurdles but she would have done so if not for falling late on her penultimate start. She's only 2lb higher here starting out over fences with conditions in her favour so is chosen to make a winning debut for an in form yard. Touquet was too keen and looked in need of the run on his chase debut but should provide a big threat if bringing his best hurdle form while the consistent No No Fizz is also respected off top weight. She's expected to improve for her reappearance run.
