Barry Hills has been quick off the starting grid with the return of turf racing and he appears to hold the key to this maiden with SHABIB, who followed a debut third of 18 at Newmarket (6f) last September with another placed effort - just over three lengths adrift of the Godolphin-trained Film Set - over an additional half-furlong at Newbury in October. Danies Boy began with a fourth to Barry Hills's Seek N' Des Troy in a Kempton maiden seven days ago. There is probably another race or two to be won by the nine-year-old Cold Turkey who is in good hands and has slipped to a handy mark. He makes more appeal at the likely odds than Sunset Boulevard who has been running well of late but has been shining in weak company. WIND FLOW is lumbered with top weight, but is a rock solid all-weather performer (seven wins from 26 starts) who has scored three times on this track since November. General Feeling is in a purple patch at present and merits respect while Manshoor comes here fit from the jumps, but seems below form.

MR WILLIS is turned out under a 7lb penalty after last Wednesday's handicap win from Cumana Bay over C&D. Well backed, there was plenty to like about that performance on his first run since winning here in December and he may still be ahead of the handicapper. Fantastic Dubai, a well bred son of Storm Cat, didn't have much to spare when landing a C&D maiden 28 days ago, but looks the type to improve. Villaruz, twice second in handicaps at Wolverhampton last month, should again be prominent, while Cheam Forever is worth noting for market confidence.

Green Velvet meets Bateleur on 4lb worse terms than when beating that rival by a length and a half over C&D eight days ago, but that disadvantage could be offset today by Martin Lane's 5lb allowance. Bateleur finished well on that occasion, but was fitted with a first-time visor and there is no guarantee the headgear will prove so effective this time around. Green Velvet could again take the beating, but she is confronted by a difficult draw and preference is for GREAT KNIGHT who had fallen to a good mark before winning at Wolverhampton two outings back and still appears favourably treated on his placed form last summer.
