Beyond The Law produced his best hurdling performance to date when third behind exciting prospect Getabird at Punchestown and he should give another good account, while the ultra consistent Allardyce can run well without winning once again. The one to beat, however, is CARO DES FLOS. He only found subsequent Grade 2-winning stablemate Al Boum Photo too good on his first start for Willie Mullins at Thurles in January and a repeat performance will suffice.
CARO DES FLOS stands out on form and ought to win this with plenty in hand if able to reproduce his best form after a long lay-off. Allardyce is a tentative selection for the runner-up spot with Beyond The Law also of interest for the minor placing.

Willie Mullins saddled the winner of this contest 12 months ago and he appears to have another cracking chance with KATE APPLEBY SHOES this time around. The eight-year-old has won twice and placed in three previous visits to Limerick, she will love forecast bottomless ground and could be one to follow in mares novice chases this season. Whistle Dixie has been absent since a fall at Fairyhouse in October last year but hopefully she can run well, while Ask Susan is certainly no forlorn hope back over fences.
KATE APPLEBY SHOES was decent enough over hurdles, and if she can transfer that form to fences on her chasing debut for the in-form Willie Mullins yard then she ought to be the one to aim at. Ask Susan is an interesting alternative and may be the one for forecast backers, leaving Whistle Dixie as a tentative suggestion for third place.

Difficult to be too confident about any of these, but CAPPACURRY ZAK appeared to benefit from first-time cheekpieces (worn again) when runner-up on similarly testing ground at Thurles and he should go close with a repeat performance. Fiddlers Bow also posted a solid placed effort at Thurles when last sighted and was beaten a head when partnered by Danny Mullins in late September. He can figure prominently again while Peculiar Genius is respected off a light weight.
CAPPACURRY ZAK showed some improved form last time out when second at Thurles and could take all the beating here. Should he falter, then Fiddlers Bow looks likeliest to take full advantage, though Steamboat Quay and Peculiar Genius may also get involved.

Notwhatiam's ten-and-a-half length third behind Monksland looks fair form in the context of this race and he has a definite chance, while West Coast Time certainly has the ability but needs to jump slicker than he has thus far. The one who makes most appeal, however, is OFF YOU GO. He is least exposed with only four runs under his belt and effectively races off a 3lb lower mark than when third on his handicap debut at Thurles with Donal McInerney's claim taken into consideration.
MICK THE JIVER is a tentative selection and will need to transfer his chasing form to hurdles to win this, but is very well handicapped if that is the case. Off You Go is improving and could well be his biggest rival, though Winter Breeze is in with a chance and could well hit the places.

ROBIN THE HARE might well be arriving with a record of two from two between the flags had he not fallen two from home at Loughrea and, with top amateur Richard Harding keeping the ride on his NH debut, he looks sure to mount a bold bid. Crezic ran well in a decent bumper at Thurles two starts ago and he must enter calculations making the switch back from hurdles, while Jammy George can build on his introductory fourth at Navan.
ROBIN THE HARE looks an interesting recruit from the point to point field after a win and a fall when travelling well in front, and if he can adapt to this drop in trip he ought to prove very difficult to beat. Crezic is a likely improver for Gordon Elliott and will take full advantage if the selection fails to perform, while Jammy George looks the likeliest to follow those two home.
