CLONDAW COURT was hugely impressive when landing a Punchestown bumper by 27 lengths on his debut under Rules last year and though he may be more comfortable over further in time, he looks a classy recruit to the hurdling ranks and could make his mark on his seasonal return. Little Rocky was a classy operator on the Flat in the UK for David Simcock but disappointed on his first run over timber at Fairyhouse. Dromnea struggled on his hurdling bow too, though his two runs since have been far more encouraging.

Former John Gosden inmate Daneking created a favourable impression on his first start for Willie Mullins when second on his hurdling bow at Cork, but he may find one too good here in WRATH OF TITANS. Dessie Hughes' charge has been unfortunate to bump into Moyle Park on two of his three runs under Rules, but he ran well to take third behind that rival on his hurdling bow latest and the form of that race looks fairly solid. Western Boy has a good record in bumpers so is interesting now debuting over timber, while The Winkler was less than 10 lengths behind leading Neptune fancy Faugheen last time so also commands respect.

ANALIFET looked a class act when spreadeagling a Grade 3 field including Noble Inn and Clarcam at Fairyhouse last time and can take another step up the ladder and continue her progression here. Noble Inn got closest to the selection last time but was still over six lengths adrift, so the biggest danger could be Guitar Pete, who chased home the smart Royal Irish Hussar at Cheltenham last time. Henry Higgins is pitched in at the deep end for his hurdling bow, which may suggest he's showing plenty at home, though it's not easy to get a handle on Arzembouy Premier's French form and the market may be the best guide to his chances.

MITEBEALL FORLUCK seemed to flourish for the switch to handicap company when winning narrowly at Clonmel last time and the assessor does not appear to have overreacted in raising him 7lb for that success. King Vuvuzela has been in good form over further of late but may not be suited by this sharp drop in trip, while Cairdin won at this meeting over timber last year and is now rated 1lb lower over fences after a fair second to Trifolium last time. Noel Meade has two strong challengers in Perfect Smile and Protaras, with the latter making most appeal of the pair after getting the upper hand in their recent encounter at Cork.

CHAMPAGNE FEVER was a cut above these rivals over timber and there's little to suggest it won't be the same over fences. Willie Mullins' Champion Bumper and Supreme Novices' Hurdle winner hardly put a foot wrong on his chasing debut at Punchestown last month and looks set to land this prize en route to another crack at the Cheltenham Festival. Defy Logic found one too strong at Punchestown last time but looks the biggest danger on a line through the winner, Felix Yonger, who beat Trifolium far more comprehensively at Navan. Ted Veale is a class act on his day, though he could only plug on for third at Cheltenham last time and needs to improve to figure this afternoon.

Willie Mullins' runners in this discipline always merit respect, but Vedettariat was turned over at a short price on his debut at Fairyhouse and could find MACBRIDE too strong here. Aidan O'Brien's gelding was beaten two heads into third at Punchestown but if the yard's bumper runners improve for their debuts in the same way as his Flat stars, the selection will take some stopping. The Herds Garden has found just one too good on both starts to date and could get involved, likewise Windsor Park, who wasn't far away at Fairyhouse last time.
