PITTONI took his hurdling record to two from two when landing the odds in pleasing fashion in a Grade 3 at Punchestown recently and he can confirm his superiority over Marlos Moment and Big Game Hunter. Shanrod takes a big step up in class after taking a maiden hurdle at Navan so Cross Appeal could give the selection most to worry about. Noel Meade's inmate was put in his place in top company at Leopardstown in December but had previously looked a smart sort when landing a Grade 3 at Fairyhouse.
Not a strong Grade 1 and, as Pittoni has already beaten most of these rivals and appeals as the type to keep on improving, he looks a solid choice. Cross Appeal in first-time blinkers is put up as the main danger ahead of Shanrod.

KYLEBEG KRYSTLE appears to be going from strength to strength at present and, despite a further 7lb hike in the handicap for her victory at Punchestown latest, she can complete the hat-trick. Recent Limerick winner, Lou's Coole Girl is as tough as old boots and seems sure to put up a good fight, while Bobs Display is another worthy of consideration after winning in gritty fashion over C&D last time.
This looks a competitive race, containing no fewer than 5 last-time-out winners, Ring Street Roller the pick of that quintet, but the one who gets the vote is Cool Quest, who represents some solid form lines and an in-form yard. At bigger odds, Glenanelucy and Itsallaracket make some appeal, too.

It's impossible to look beyond DUNGUIB, who is rapidly developing into the exceptional performer his bumper form promised he would become. Philip Fenton's charge extended his unbeaten hurdles record to three with a ready defeat of the re-opposing Some Present in the Royal Bond last time and another Grade 1 prize beckons. Some Present looks to be crying out for a more demanding trip but should keep the favourite up to his work, while Willie Mullins relies on impressive Clonmel winner Fionnegas, who wasn't disgraced when tried in Grade 1 company at Leopardstown over Christmas.
It's very hard to look past Dunguib despite the likely prohibitive odds. Philip Fenton's charge is yet to come off the bridle over hurdles and his jumping is improving with each race. At more rewarding odds, and therefore of some interest to place bettors, are Whodoyouthink and Fionnegas.

ROBERTO GOLDBACK put in an impressive performance when beating Apt Approach at Leopardstown last month and looks more than ready for a return to Grade 1 company. Jessie Harrington's inmate fell in the Drinmore after finding only Osana too good on his chasing bow, but has scored twice since and his accomplished jumping is a major factor. Zaarito, on the other hand, has already fallen twice in this code but he boasts outstanding form claims if staying up. Weapon's Amnesty is a strong stayer and a repeat of his second to Pandorama at Leopardstown would also put him in the picture.
Roberto Goldback has looked a chaser on the up this term and can take this next step up the ladder in his stride, his sound jumping likely to stand him in good stead. Weapon's Amnesty is the biggest danger despite this drop in trip, whilst at bigger odds Lenabane makes some each-way appeal.

COOLDINE looked a real star in the making when storming to victory in the RSA Chase at Cheltenham last year and it's worth giving Willie Mullins' eight-year-old another chance to recapture his best. He was found to have an infection after disappointing on his final start last term and scoped badly after pulling up in the Lexus on his reappearance. Providing he's over those problems, he can book his Gold Cup ticket with victory here. Not a great deal separated Money Trix, Joncol and Notre Pere in the Lexus but it was the former who fared best in second and if Cooldine fails to fire again, Nicky Richards' grey looks the most likely winner.

AGUS A VIC is a smart sort at this level and looked as good as ever when justifying market favouritism on his seasonal debut at Down Royal in December. The Patrick Martin inmate is likely to be aimed at all the top races of this type in the spring and could prove too good here. Ballistraw is the highest rated on official figures and has been running well in points lately, but his last win under Rules came in the 2008 Red Mills Chase at Gowran Park and he's no longer up to that level. Travino and Kircassock Vic are also shortlisted.
Afistfullofdollars could be a different class to this lot if retaining even most of the ability he showed in his prime, and has won a point recently. There's still plenty to take on trust, however, so Agus A Vic, one of the leading hunters in Ireland over the past few seasons, gets the nod instead. Kilty Storm has won a couple of points recently and can take minor honours.

KILDARE BLOWIN showed plenty of encouraging signs when runner-up on his racecourse debut over C&D a couple of weeks ago and, with improvement expected, he looks the one to beat. Big Shu appears to be on an upward curve and could give the selection most to think about, while Frawley produced his best effort yet when third behind the potentially high-class Elegant Concorde at this venue last time and cannot be overlooked.
Frawley has acquitted himself well in relatively strong bumpers on 2 out of 3 starts and looks to have been found a good opportunity to get off the mark. Big Shu and Kildare Blowin make the most appeal of the others with experience, while the well-bred Carloswayback is an interesting newcomer.
