RED SASH sets the standard after 2nd-place finishes in both starts and could get it right at the 3rd attempt with improvement likely. EVERLASTING, PRINCESS LOUISA and a fitter YGRITTE are capable of making their presence felt with the benefit of added experience on their side. Verdict

Good race. CAMILLE CLAUDEL showed promise as a 2yo but disappointed in a 1500m feature and has not been since. She retains ability and is open to any amount of improvement reverting to this trip on her return, though does concede weight carrying a hefty 62kg. CITYSCAPE ran well when not beaten far on handicap debut and is another who should have more to offer stepped up in distance. HUNTING TRIP wasn't winning out of turn last time and with further progress should also be competitive. Last-start maiden winners COUNTRY TIME and I'LL SLIP AWAY have scope too and could get into the picture.

Highly rated HITHEMHARDSUNSHINE makes an eagerly anticipated comeback and while unlikely to be fully tuned after a 20-week absence, is slung in under the conditions so likely to prove too good. RED IMPACT (stable jock up) and stablemate TEATRO in first-time blinkers could prove the biggest dangers, with preference for the former. Stablemate SAFE RETURN would've come on from that outing and can do better with improved fitness on his side. Typically high-class renewal of a stepping-stone to the Guineas. Unbeaten CHARLES DICKENS was so impressive in winning his comeback/3yo debut and is best followed until beaten. PORT LOUIS lost little in defeat (at level weights) to highly regarded year-older stable companion Silvano's Dasher and should give the selection most to fear.
