Well-bred SAINT JANINE hasn't been seen since her promising introduction as a juvenile. She could improve any amount and can contest if fit. GYPSY BEAUTY ran well, when probably in need of the run, last time and finished ahead of GEOGRAPHE BAY, who was on debut. Small but competitive line-up. LA FAVOURARI is at his best over this course and distance with the blinkers on. He meets PILLAR OF HERCULES on 2.5kg better terms for a 0.75-length beating so could turn the tables on the impeccably bred latter. Both, however, have plenty room for improvement. Intriguing. THE SLADE finished ahead of COCK-A-HOOP in a Grade 2 last time and can confirm on these terms. However, he was behind GYRE (0.5kg better off) prior to that and there shouldn't be much between that pair again.
