Verdict

SWEET GREEN was well backed on debut. She did everything but win and was beaten by a horse that had the experience advantage. A wide draw might be the only worry with her this time. HERO'S JOURNEY was only just beaten by promising newcomer St Harry who flew up at the finish. He could show the strength of that form and must have a big say with improvement to come. PREACHER MAN was entered in a tough race on King's Plate Day and ran a cracker. She has much in her favour having drawn well. MAGMA FLOW hasn't done badly. There are many first-timers to watch.

Verdict

FAST TRAIN sets the standard as he wasn't far off high class colt Fox On The Run in his second last outing. He could bounce back to form in no uncertain terms in this faster run 1000m event. SWIFT SERENITY ran a fair race in her penultimate but then was slightly disappointing. She could prefer the drop to the minimum trip. SLASH 'N BURN showed something in his penultimate and now gelded could be ready to show his best. DIFFERENT WORLD is another that looks a bit better than his raw form on paper.

Erik The Red filly CANTONA was a bit unlucky to lose on debut as she lost a length and was carried at a crucial stage. She looks well placed to make amends but is dropping in distance. STARTING POINT was an expensive purchase but hung outwards in both her runs at the end of last year. She can show more with maturity. KIM CHANEL is another that has been brought along steadily. Verdict

Beautifully bred Vercingetorix colt FERRYMAN turned in a fair performance on his first appearance. He should relish the step up in distance but will need to overcome a wide gate to win. WHATWILLBEWILLBE has run on well in both starts to date. He has done little wrong and could take advantage from draw one and with Andrew Fortune up. BOURBON KING wasn't beaten far in his 1200m debut which on pedigree must be short. He could make any amount of improvement. SLIVER OF SUNSHINE and FORT YUKON have shown potential and can improve here.

Verdict

POMP IT UP showed a bit of class again last time. He wasn't beaten far over this distance previously and has room for improvement. VIVA'S LIBERTE is another highly regarded individual. He disappointed last time but returns as a gelding and cannot be taken lightly. PLEASE BE TRUE has not been far off in decent contests. He should be right on top of them once again. The filly STORMWATCH has run against some of the best and not disgraced herself. She has gate one and the colt and geldings could find her tough to catch. NORDIC CHIEF and AIR RAID have claims too.

Verdict

RATTLESNAKE can go one better after just missing out last time. He is knocking at the door but carries a big weight. CATCH A PENNY is also holding form and should run another honest race. Her last win came over this distance. MOODY BLUE finished behind the above mentioned but ran a nice race last time. In fact, he looked a bit unlucky and could be a big threat. AFRICAN MEMOIR is lightly raced and looks to have a few issues. But he is handily weighted and has the best draw so could pop up. PARENTAL GUIDANCE looks capable of better, respect him.

Verdict

THREE TIGERS is well treated at the weights with a 4kg apprentice claim. He is also back to the distance his only win came over but he is carded to run earlier and that run must be taken into account. It could get close between GOLD GIBOSKI and EMPIRE STATE who progressed to finish just behind NORTH POINT in what was a thrilling win from upwardly mobile Demanding Dave. Both GOLD GIBOSKI and EMPIRE STATE should be at their peak in their third starts after a rest. NORTH POINT can keep going again. BLACK EAGLE and BLACK CHEETAH aren't out of it.

Verdict

The Clapham Stakes is as competitive as it gets. Best weighted EDUCATOR ran out an easy winner at Hollywoodbets Durbanville last time and could follow up even if having drawn a bit wide. Lightly raced UKUDUMA is better off at the weights with her on a previous meeting and could turn the form around. BEACH VERSE came from too far back last time and perhaps the longer trip will be ideal. She is back from a break but has the best draw. ROSE WOOTT lacked a finish when tried over further. She may prefer the distance. KAMCHATKA loves the distance, watch out for her.

Verdict

DREAM SEARCHER has done well having won six races, five over 1400m. She looks a strong contender again. But VROOM VROOM could be one with improvement to come over the longer distance. She was impressive in her penultimate. She will need to win from the widest stall, however. RIKKITIKKITAVI had valid excuses last time. She was back from a break and she battled a bad draw. She can make good improvement. MY ONLY WEAKNESS has dropped in ratings and jumps from a decent draw again. She must be included too.
