BUFFALO RIVER was turned over at very short odds over C&D at the end of last month, but his Doncaster form prior to that has taken some significant boosts since. The winner of that contest, Royal Marine, took a Group 1 at Longchamp on Sunday, while the second, Turgenev, has won his next two starts and looked potential Group class, so it would be disappointing were the selection not able to get off the mark here. Yimkin makes some appeal on her debut being a daughter of Kingman out of a dam who is a half-sister to Group 1 winner Olden Times, while Ajrar can prove more competitive now dropped in class.

ELECTOR looked a little gassy on his first run since a wind operation/break when third at Kempton last time and should appreciate this drop in distance with that effort under his belt. A six-and-three-quarter-length defeat to eventual Cambridgeshire winner Wissahickon at York in June doesn't look to be bad form, and he can score off a mark of 93. Greenside was far from disgraced on his return from a 341-day layoff at Newmarket last time, while Auxerre looks best of the Godolphin-owned pair.
