ONE BIG BANG reached a fair level over the smaller obstacles and finished a creditable third in a Listed handicap at Punchestown in May. James Owen's charge now makes his chasing debut and this could prove to be a straightforward task. Secret Trix is rated 7lb inferior to his sole rival and lacked any fluency in his jumping at Newcastle last time, so he looks up against it.
ONE BIG BANG was a winner of a point-to-point and therefore has some sort of experience over fences; he is a three-time winner over hurdles, and he makes his chase debut for a yard that does very well with his type. A very good 3rd of a Listed hurdle at Punchestown back in May, this is his first run for 193 days as he makes his chase debut here in a perfectly winnable contest. His main rival, Secret Trix, has the experience edge but is yet to win in four chase runs and could only manage a fairly remote 2nd in a three-runner contest last time out; therefore, he might have to settle for another place finish here in this race.

Ice In The Veins took a step forward to justify cramped odds at Warwick six days ago and is respected, but he might find it tough to give his penalty away to JIMBO SPORT. The son of No Risk At All made his sole bumper start a successful one at Hereford in March and now makes his first appearance in this sphere. With the Ben Pauling yard in great form, he looks the one to side with. Golden Circet completes the shortlist.
This looks to be another good chance for ICE IN THE VEINS to back up last week's success at Warwick with another victory in this sphere; he was a very easy 10-length winner last time out when sent off as the 1/9 favourite. He won it at a canter; therefore, he would have probably had harder pieces of work at home. The quick turnaround should be no issue, and he can make it back-to-back wins in novice contests for a yard going very well at present. Jimbo Sport was a well-backed winner of his sole run in bumper company; he looks to be a nice type for the novice hurdle scene, therefore he can run well in this race before kicking on as the season progresses. And Kool Kid is another one who won his sole bumper effort, a modest 6th on hurdle debut last time out; he can run well here but might have to settle with filling the places.

Point-to-point winner KASINO DES MOTTES showed ability when fifth over 3m at Cheltenham last month and may appreciate this drop in trip. Joe Tizzard's five-year-old makes just his second start over hurdles and could have lots more to offer. Breezethroughlife got off the mark on his first outing for the Neil King stable and it would be no surprise to see him feature, despite his penalty. Talk To The Man is one to watch in the betting market.
Joe Tizzard has kick-started the season in very good form, and his KASINO DES MOTTES can build on that hurdle debut from Cheltenham last time and land a contest of this nature. A winner of his 2nd and last point-to-point, he was pitched into a decent race on hurdle debut last time out, coming a decent 5th and always staying on well towards the line. He would have learnt plenty from that, and he can get off the mark over hurdles in this, a race that looks to be much easier on paper. Talk To The Man was a nice point-to-point winner; he could only manage 5th and 4th on his bumper runs, but his future looks to be over an obstacle; therefore, he can run well on hurdle debut here in this. And Breezethroughlife was a winner over hurdles at Fakenham last time out; he has to carry a penalty here, which might be the difference between winning and placing.

An opening mark of 95 proved lenient for last month's C&D winner Turndlightsdownlow and he must enter calculations on his follow-up bid. However, a 10lb hike from the assessor does demand more from the five-year-old and fellow last-time-out winner SUN JOY is potentially better handicapped. A 6lb rise for his Ludlow victory looks workable and a third victory over hurdles may beckon. Cuban Court could also figure if building on his fourth-placed reappearance at Uttoxeter.
SUN JOY got back to winning ways for the in-form Ben Pauling yard at Ludlow last time out; he is now 6 lb higher in the weights, but given the nature of how he won last time out, there could be more to come from him. He jumped well and was prominent throughout; he soon went clear in the closing stages when ridden out to win by a little under 4 lengths in the end. The yard's horses are clearly thriving at present, and he can back that winning effort up from last time and make it back-to-back wins for the first time in his career. Turnedlightsdownlow is a lightly raced sort who could be anything; a winner of a handicap hurdle at this venue last time out, he is now 10 lb higher in the weights but looks a nice type and can run well in this race. And Jet Of Dreams was a nice enough winner at Sedgefield on his penultimate start; with a 3rd at Kempton last time out, he can back that up with another place finish in this race.

SIXTY PLUS hasn't looked back since racing under the tutelage of James Owen and a 10lb higher mark may not be enough to prevent a five-timer. The five-year-old scored a shade cosily at the expense of a subsequent winner on his latest outing at Worcester and has more than earned a crack at this rise in class. Saint Anapolino returned with a respectable sixth in a 20-runner affair at Cheltenham and is feared most, ahead of Busy Being Busy.
BUSY BEING BUSY was on a roll during March and April, landing the hattrick and going from a rating of 103 to 114 in the process. He is now at his peak rating so far of 121 but did suggest last time out that he could win at this level. A decent 2nd at Newton Abbot a few weeks back when sent off as the relatively short-priced favourite, he is now 3 lb higher in the weights but was only just beaten by a nose last time out and is clearly thriving at present. He is lightly raced and can be the one to improve most in this field and win his 4th race in just 10 runs. Idy Wood was a winner of a handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter in September on his penultimate start; he came 4th last time out at Chepstow in a decent race. Therefore, he is the sort to run well here and land a place. And Saint Anapolino has a pretty good strike rate over hurdles with 3 wins in 7 runs and a good 6th at Cheltenham last time out; he can build on that and go a few places better in this.

SHE IS FOR ME BOYS arrives here on the back of two impressive novice hurdle victories earlier in the year and a mark of 104 may underestimate Jamie Snowden's mare if she takes to fences. Shantwopointfive was also successful over hurdles when last seen and could prove to be the main threat, although Popova and Georgi Girl should not be discounted.

BEBSIDE BANTER had plenty in hand when winning over fences at Worcester a month ago and, in a race where most have questions to answer, the eight-year-old is hard to oppose now looking to exploit a 2lb lower mark over hurdles. Final Straw may improve now switched to handicaps with first-time cheekpieces applied, while Hurst Hill is the pick of the remainder.
A chance can be taken with FINAL STRAW, who hails from a powerful yard, who don't very often send out runners like this. Three runs over hurdles, coming 4th on two occasions at Southwell and Fontwell, the opening mark of 95 looks to be pretty lenient for a horse that is fairly well bred and cost 48,000 euros as a three-year-old a few years back. Now into handicap company for the first time, he is sure to run well here with Freddie Gordon's valuable 3 lbs being taken off his back. Bebside Banter was a winner at Worcester last time out, winning in pretty good style by 7 lengths in the end; he bounced back to some sort of form and did it well. Now 8 lbs higher in the weights, he has that to deal with here, which means he might have to settle for a place finish in this. And Avada Kedavra is yet to win in 7 career runs but has crept down a few pounds from his opening mark; therefore, a good run to fill the places can be expected here.
