Following a comfortable success here, the in-form CLASSIC BLUE just failed to follow up over 1m2f in a tougher event at Great Leighs latest. She was doing her best work at the finish that day and can regain the winning thread up in trip and down in grade today. It may have been a moderate event Stand Guard got off the mark in here last month but he did the job in style and looks feasibly treated on his handicap debut. Generous Lad, a C&D winner who was narrowly missed out off a 2lb lower mark over this trip latest, is another to consider.

He will be a tough nut to crack back in this grade this evening. Re Barolo is best in weight wise and although he is untried over this trip he merits close attention. Neither of the Godolphin pair Emirates Skyline and Gravitas could be ruled out, the market is likely to provide the best indication of which is more fancied.
