MARTILA has been in fine order in recent months, landing back-to-back 2m1f contests at Cartmel and losing little in defeat when second over track and trip in a 0-145 last time. Pauline Robson's four-year-old is expected to go well off an unchanged mark now eased in grade. Arthurs Secret is fitted with first-time cheekpieces on his return from a break and is worth a market check, while recent Perth scorer Claude Carter and Jokers And Rogues, an impressive track and trip scorer in April, could also take a hand.

DERINTOHER YANK has shown promise in a bumper and posted a solid display when second on his hurdles bow over 2m5f last time - an effort on which he's entitled to improve with that initial experience now behind him. Spectator has won three times on the level and attracted support when debuting over timber at Stratford last time. He probably has better to offer as a hurdler and could battle it out with Zainat, who debuts over obstacles, for the minor money.

Watch out for: Spectator (6)

SPECTATOR proved a let down on his hurdling debut in August but has to be worth another chance in a race like this given the level of his Flat form, particularly as his stable is going great guns at present. Zainat wasn't disgraced back from a break on the level recently and may provide a bigger threat than Derintoher Yank, who didn't look too straightforward when second here last month.

MISTER MIYAGI was only beaten once over hurdles last season when finishing sixth in a strong Supreme Novices Hurdle behind Altior and Dan Skelton's charge found more improvement when stepped up to an extended 2m4f at Cheltenham in April to dispose of Solstice Star by three and a half lengths. Despite giving weight all round, he should prove too classy for Traditional Dancer and Oak Vintage, with the former the one more likely for forecast purposes.

Ange Des Malberaux is likely to prove a warm order after a comfortable victory at Sedgefield earlier in the week, but a 7lb penalty won't make life easy for him and the larger obstacles might lie in wait for him further down the line. ITALIAN RIVIERA makes his debut for Kenneth Slack off a mark of 97 and with recent winning form to his name, rates as the one to beat. Gunner Lindley is a consistent type who has been unlucky not to win yet and he should be involved once more.
