TRIFECTA won on his only previous start over today's trip and was beaten less than a length when third over 6f last time. He looks well-spotted to follow-up on his first start for a new barn. Count Commander has been in good form over a mile of late and makes more appeal than recent winner Easy Grades.
There was very little between Short Circuit and Casper Who when they finished second and third respectively over six and a half furlongs here last time, but preference is for DESERT QUEST. A winner of his maiden last time over track and trip, he looks capable of taking this step-up in class in his stride, and Nick Zito's runners remain in fine form.
ELECTRIC LIGHT was not disgraced when stepped up to Grade 3 company last time, finishing a creditable fourth over an extended mile at Fairgrounds. An easy winner in $60K company before that, she'll take all the beating here. Sampson's Son has not been seen at the track since May, so War Tempo looks a bigger threat.
HEROIC DEED should be spot on now with a couple of runs under his belt after a layoff and boasts the highest turf speed-figure of these. Let It Thunder could figure dropping back down from Pattern company, and it would be foolish to ignore the claims of Passive Resistance who won a similar event over a mile on the lawn at Hollywood when last seen.
SHANIKO is still improving and was successful in Grade 2 company on the polytrack at Turfway when last seen. Todd Pletcher's charge can follow-up here and land a hat-trick in the process. Trapped Again looks sure to be thereabouts given his recent good efforts, but Alumni Hall looks the biggest threat if rediscovering his best form.
