JOY TO THE KING has improved in each of his three visits to the racetrack so far and appears to have been found a great opportunity to open his account this evening. Acts Like Gold and the dropped-in-class Revelationist are others worthy of consideration.

Verdict

ANNA PAVLOVA suffered all sorts of trouble on her introductory outing at Ellis Park in August, finishing fourth but being placed third after an inquiry. She's been given time to recover from those exertions and that move can pay dividends. Dido is also entitled to be sharper for her recent debut spin, while Sugar Spun has some useful form in the booking but is more exposed than the aforementioned duo.

Verdict

ROSE MEDALLION struggled to make an impact in a stronger event here earlier this month but she's better judged on her previous neck second and should take all the beating if bouncing back to form. Sassy's Dream is very capable at this level but has been lightly raced of late, while Frances Gardner is another for the shortlist.
