GREAT SQUAWK has performed with a great deal of credit on her four starts to date and, after getting narrowly touched off at Monmouth last time out, she is given the vote to lose her maiden tag today. Scattin' Emma has been placed on her three latest outings and is likely to be in the firing line yet again, while Pumped is another worthy of consideration.
DON'TGETMADGETEVEN appreciated the drop in grade when winning cosily at Turfway last time out and, with less on his plate today, he could prove a cut above his rivals. Nevereveryield won in gritty fashion on his latest outing and is unlikely to go down without a fight, with Canali also holding place claims.
PUT BACK THE ZIP got off the mark at the first attempt in a maiden over this trip and is sure to be a popular choice to follow up today. With that experience under his belt, he is taken to improve sufficiently to go in again but easy maiden winner U. S. Cavalry and the dropped in class Double Finesse should give him something to think about.
PRICELESS GEM didn't appreciate the switch to turf latest and, having scored on her previous attempt on dirt, she is taken to make a winning return to her preferred surface. The consistent Inomuff will be ready to pounce if the selection fluffs her lines while Doric Charm hinted at a return to form last time out.
An open-looking affair in prospect but LOVE HANDLES landed a 100k event over this trip at Arlington Park last time and could prove a tough nut to crack if in same form again. Another recent winner, Bavarian Belle and Tejida make most appeal of the remainder.
The market will prove as informative as ever but ESCROW has an obvious chance of landing this heat. Bill Mott's Carson City colt was only touched off by a nose last month despite running wide on the turn and should be hard to beat if making the expected improvement. Hidden Leader and Maite Empire are feared most.
LES GRAND TROIS looks to have plenty in his favour as he bids to register his fourth success in only five career starts and follow up on his recent Belmont Park success. Chihulykee is a colt on the upgrade and is highly respected as he bids to complete a four-timer while Demarcation could fare best of the rest and finish in the money.
Several worth considering here as one might expect with a field of lightly raced and progressive fillies. SCHOOL GIRL could just be the best of them as she impressed when running on well to score at Arlington last month but the chances of the more experienced Rumari, Easy Profit, Taking Stock and Valentine Fever must be respected.
The French-trained Coquerelle had looked a filly of some potential before disappointing in the French Oaks back in June but has to be given respect on her first US start tonight. Another of interest on her first US appearance is the ex-British trained Costume who displayed some smart form before her move to the Robert Frankel barn. Preference, however, is for DREAMING OF ANNA who landed a Grade 3 affair at Arlington last time, her third victory in succession, in the manner of a filly on the upgrade and she could take some stopping tonight.
True Competitor has form claims but was beaten a long way last time so is difficult to recommend with confidence. There's no doubting the well-being of CURVATURE though and he is taken to confirm last month's form (his first start of the season so he can be expected to improve) with Lemon Custard en route to landing this prize.
