LINE FREEDOM has issues in the jumping department but she also has plenty of ability and, if she can put in a clear round today, she will take plenty of beating. Naughty Naughty has been running consistently well this season and there is every reason to expect another big run from her today. Dream Function shaped nicely on his hurdling debut at Wincanton last month and, with improvement likely, he makes the shortlist.
Line Freedom must go close with a clear round, but she lacks the potential of Dream Function, who can go one better this time. Naughty Naughty should also give a good account.

MAYOLYNN won with a bit in hand over 2m at Leicester earlier this month, beating Easton Clump by eight lengths, and a 10lb rise for that success might not stop her playing a leading role here. Easton Clump has place claims once more, along with Watergate who finished runner-up over larger obstacles at Folkestone last time. Thunderstorm has not shown his best over hurdles so far but he might be worth a second look on his first foray into handicap company.
Laterly is potentially well in on the form he showed for Tom Tate on the Flat and was also travelling strongly until unseating on his return to hurdling last month. He just gets the nod from recent Leicester scorer Mayolynn, while there should be more to come from Thunderstorm now that he tackles handicaps.

Pascha Bere ran out a most impressive winner on his chasing debut at Plumpton earlier this month and he has a future over fences, but he might struggle to contain STARLUCK today. Alan Fleming's representative has some top class form over hurdles and, if he takes to larger obstacles at the first time of asking, he can score here. Mister Stickler is open to further improvement but he would need the aforementioned duo to falter to win this.
Starluck isn't far off top class over hurdles and should prove too strong for these rivals on his chasing debut. Pascha Bere could be the one for the forecast.

MINELLA CLASS landed a Grade 1 contest over 2m1f at Sandown last month, beating Megastar by seven lengths, and he might be up to defying a penalty today. He is clearly a classy sort and the step up to this trip will not pose a problem. Pride In Battle is progressing nicely and, although he has a bit to find on ratings with the selection, he should not be overlooked. Captain Kirkton has impressed on his two runs over hurdles so far and he also commands the utmost respect.
A warm novice hurdle with all 5 runners holding Cheltenham entries. The promising pair of Captain Kirkton and Pride In Battle are both respected in their hat-trick bids, but look set to be thwarted by Minella Class, himself seeking a third win in a row and very much a smart prospect.

MOUNT BENGER had to settle for second best behind Cork All Star over this C&D earlier this month but there does not appear to be anything of that calibre in opposition today so he is fancied to go one better. Templer has been a consistent performer in handicap company over the last two years or so and he must be respected on his hunter chase debut.
