GOLDEN GIFT was still in with a big chance of winning prior to unseating his rider at the last hurdle over 2m5f at Wincanton last time. Paul Nicholls' gelding should relish this step up in trip and he could take plenty of stopping if putting in a clear round of jumping. Imperial Knight was well held on his seasonal return, but the trip was against him on that occasion and he is better judged on his second-placed finish in a competitive handicap over 3m at Haydock in January.
