Boy In A Bentley came home a tired horse when third at Southwell and now drops significantly in trip having been given a good rest by Kim Bailey. He should produce a much better performance here but BLACK IVORY already has a course bumper win to his name and looked in need of the run when a good third to Australasia over course and distance last month. There will be no fitness excuses now and the form of his latest run has been franked by the winner's subsequent victory in a decent handicap. Mondlicht and Grexit are next best.

Gin Cobbler is not the easiest to catch right but has gone well here in the past and would be dangerous if allowed an uncontested lead. Bally Lagan has definite claims if repeating his latest run at Warwick and runs off an unchanged mark but he has found winning difficult. Halcyon Days is respected but HARLEYS MAX is the choice. He was the subject of strong market support when a rather low-key fourth at Market Rasen when last seen when usual hold-up tactics failed to fire but previous runs were pleasing, a repeat of which would see him go close.

MR MONOCHROME proved no match for a talented winner at Market Rasen over the summer as he struggled to cope with a penalty and faster ground. He has plenty of size about him and should continue to progress this season, starting with today in a contest that should hold no fears for the five-year-old.
