This should be between HEART OF KERNOW and Monsieur Arkadin, with the former fancied to make it 2-2 at this venue for the long-travelling Nigel Hawke. He looks to have further scope for improvement in this sphere and may well have come on markedly for that first outing in 10 months last time out. The latter did it well at Carlisle last time and looks a future chaser, with Portrait King likely to prove best of the remainder.
HEART OF KERNOW probably didn't have much to beat here last time but did it easily and this looks a good opportunity for him to notch another win. The veteran Portrait King could be the one to chase him home.

Soiesauvage took a few by surprise at Uttoxeter when landing the odds 12 days ago and seemed to get on well with Paddy Brennan on that occasion, while Viognier coped well with testing conditions here when second last month and could go close once more. It might be worth taking a chance on Irish raider ECHO LADY, who should relish this step up in distance and should appreciate the return of the talented Danny Mullins to the saddle.
SOIESAUVAGE was backed at long odds and duly showed improved form to score pretty convincingly at Uttoxeter last month. She hasn't always looked straightforward but a repeat under a penalty should see her play a lead role once more. Theatre Act is a player on the pick of last season's form and feared most, ahead of Rivabodiva.

Champagne Chaser did it well here over course and distance on his reappearance though a 7lb rise makes life more difficult and Richard Johnson isn't available to do the steering, while Bigirononhiship has to carry plenty of weight but does remain open to improvement. Beau Bay represents a shrewd yard, but this can go to PRINCESS TARA, who doesn't have many miles on the clock and is versatile ground-wise for a handler who looks set to enjoy a fruitful season.

Marginal preference, however, is for EBONY ROSE, who drops back from 3m after scoring at Perth and is expected to give a good account in the face of a 7lb rise. FINAL FLING looked on good terms with himself when scoring over track and trip last time out and may be capable of defying a 5lb rise to notch a double. Turtle Cask is considered the main danger on the back of his easy course victory last time out and can battle it out for the minor money with Court Baloo, who finished third behind him last time and now reopposes on 5lb better terms.
Last-time-out winners TURTLE CASK and Final Fling could dominate a race in which the majority are either limited or out of form, the first-named marginally preferred as, for all he's the more exposed, he has plenty of handicapping scope based on old form and seems firmly on the way back for his current yard. Court Baloo should run well again, also.
