PISGAH PIKE clearly benefited from wind surgery when finishing second at Market Rasen in July and Jamie Snowden's gelding is more than capable of building on that performance. Nikgarde's sole run at Catterick last November was disappointing compared to his two efforts the season before but he could benefit from wind surgery ahead of his hurdling bow, while Decoration Of War's third at Uttoxeter last month puts him in the mix.

EVER SO MUCH won comfortably over 2m6f at Cartmel recently and the dual course winner (over fences) could follow up under a 7lb penalty. Duty Girl possibly needed the run when third in the aforementioned Cartmel event and she can close the gap on Ben Haslam's charge, while Emirat De Catana is no forlorn hope reverting to hurdles after a last-fence fall at Perth three weeks ago. He was one length second and keeping on when crashing out that day.
