TYNWALD disappointed at Ffos Las last time but he is only 2lb higher than when winning under this rider at Hamilton in June and he can be given another chance this afternoon. Red Derek is a player based on his second-placed finish over 1m6f at Nottingham two starts ago, while Richard R H B and Estrela Star are others to note.
Hardly a prolific bunch with TYNWALD the selection having won a race for this rider in the summer and heavy ground is an excuse for his latest run. Dark Mystery is an obvious threat to the selection after he got off the mark at Newbury last month. The unexposed Sea Speedwell edges out Arabian Warrior to be best of the rest.
POLYPHONIC proved a different proposition (on the back of being gelded) when opening his account with authority at Carlisle 7 days ago and, wisely turned out under a penalty, he's fancied to follow up. SAKHEER, who cost 550,000 euros at a breeze-up sale earlier in the year, displayed plenty of promise when narrowly beaten on his debut at Windsor a couple of weeks ago. With the benefit of that experience, the son of Zoffany could be hard to beat this afternoon. Attaj was purchased for 140,000gns as a yearling and he is an eye-catching debutant being a half-brother to the Group-placed Wall Of Fire. Protest Rally and Tafreej are other noteworthy newcomers.

Charlie Appleby and William Buick teamed up to win this race last year and look to have solid claims of repeating that feat this time around courtesy of CASTLE WAY. The half-brother to Palace Pier was runner-up behind a more fancied stable companion at Newmarket on debut despite running green and could take this before moving up in class. Garden Route catches the eye on pedigree and any market support behind him would be significant. Tellateller shaped with promise when second over C&D earlier this month and is entitled to have learned plenty for that experience.
CASTLE WAY went into many notebooks having found only his stablemate with experience too good in a Newmarket maiden just under 3 weeks ago. Sure to improve with that initial outing under his belt, Charlie Appleby's colt may well take some stopping today. Paisano and Tellateller both showed promise first time up last month and they can chase the selection home in that order, although strong support for either newcomer would put a slightly different slant on things.

PERSIST is bred to be better than what she has shown so far, with her mother having won at Group 1 level, and this looks like an ideal opportunity to regain the winning thread. The three-year-old didn't do herself any favours when slowly into stride at Nottingham and, granted she is sharper from the stalls here, the progressive Elena's Gift may not be able to live with her dropping back in trip. Terra Mitica has ground to find with the selection but is a player based on the pick of her form.
PERSIST has been shaping up well and should have a bit more to offer at this distance, so she's preferred to Elena's Gift, who could take some pegging back if she gets her own way in front.
