OUT WITH THE TIDE arrives here on the back of a comfortable track and trip success and could take some stopping on her bid to follow up today. Jager Style finished second here on her latest outing and rates the biggest threat, while Her Own Storm is another that cannot be easily dismissed.
Frank Kirby's charge, I LIKE IKE, faces a much easier task than his recent sixth around here and could prove a cut above his rivals tonight. Decendant finished an honourable second here on his latest outing and is likely to give a good account in this, while Ghordo is another worthy of consideration.
It could pay to take a chance here on Michael Nance's newcomer, LIL BRIAN TOO. He shaped with a lot of promise in a recent workout and could take all the beating on his racecourse debut today. B Like A Lion finished second here on his latest outing and is likely to have his say in this, with Bolder Course also holding place claims.
SKAGWAY produced a gallant effort in defeat when getting narrowly touched off around here last time out and is given the vote to go one better tonight. Winchester Bay faces his easiest task of late and holds obvious claims in this company, while Big Thicket is another that warrants respect.
ALL JOKING ASIDE performed with a great deal of credit when finishing third around this track and trip last time out and looks like the one that they all have to beat tonight. Star Vector was behind the selection that day and may have to settle for a minor role again, while Publish looks best of the newcomers.
PROUD AND BOLD completed the hat trick last time when narrowly getting the better of today's opponent Scaramouche and that pair are taken to fight out the finish once more. The former showed a good attitude to hold off Don Von Hemel's charge on that occasion and possesses the right attitude to gain further success.
A chance is taken with Michele Boyce's newcomer INTENSLYCONFUZZLED, who hails from a yard that is capable of readying one first time out and may have been found a weak contest in which to start. Of those with experience, Instill makes most appeal after finishing in front of Jobanos when last in action.
LORD VADER didn't get the clearest of runs when fourth behind a subsequent winner last time and should be capable of winning at this level. The selection remains open to improvement after just five career starts and should confirm superiority over Smarty Mouth, who he beat in maiden company in August. Jaybird's Miracle can mount the main challenge.
Having faced a stiff task in stronger company last time, LACER should be capable of taking this back down in class. Charles Livesay's representative got up late to deny the re-opposing Heaven's Hope when last seen in this grade and is narrowly preferred to the in-form War Club.
A weak contest which can go the way of CHIEF MAGISTRATE, who tends to show up prominently at this level. The selection came home in front over a similar trip at this venue last time and hails from the in-form yard of Jamie Ness. Future Bet also won when last in action and is respected, along with Black Card.
