Verdict

GIMMETHEGOODLIFE ran a fair race on local debut even though over-racing. He has been gelded and if not in need of the race should go well. SOVEREIGN COMMAND sprinted well before lacking a finish over further. He should be a threat dropping in distance. DAPPER didn't run to his best and looks to have needed his last run. He could come out firing this time. BRING THE MAGIC and TOP GUN have drawn well and need to be included in exotic offerings.

Verdict

WONDERFUL impressed with a resolute front-running performance on the poly last time. She could repeat as she has run decent races on the turf as well. MISS PLATINA was well backed but found WONDERFUL too good last time. She is arguably better on turf and from a decent draw should have every chance this time. ZINIKELE is looking for that first win on the turf. She is useful and a 4kg apprentice claim should boost her chances. FAIZAH could give cheek if the race is run to suit. BROADWAY GIRL is capable of suddenly impressing in this line up.

Verdict

FREDDY SLATER showed inexperience when nevertheless running well again after dramatically improving on his debut. He can go close back over 1600m. ROLLO THE VIKING caught the eye with blinkers fitted. He could still be anything and should confirm improvement from the best of the draws. ONE SCOTCH finished runner up in both starts and should have the staying power for the distance based on pedigree. AMIGO has been staying on in his races. He probably still needs to strengthen up but should be in the money again.

Verdict

Wide-open handicap and it may be best to go wide in exotic bets. Trainer Peter Muscutt has his yard in good form and has two good sorts in NEITHERHERENORTHERE and I SALUTE YOU. The former won a nice race on the poly and from draw No 1 could repeat back on turf. I SALUTE YOU is a youngster with promise but will need luck from the widest gate. OFFICER IN COMMAND is enjoying racing in KwaZulu-Natal. He could make it three wins in a row if staying the extra but it is competitive. CAPE EAGLE is tough to pass when at his best and should have every chance after needing his last run which came after a break. MADISON VALLEY ran a cracker over a distance short of his best when finishing ahead of CAPE EAGLE but may prefer much further.
