ICE KINGDOM had things go wrong and still ran a decent race. He looks well placed and can open his account. HUNTERS ARROW is also putting in good work and he met a very decent horse in his last race. He can go close. CREATOR did a lot better with blinkers and frontrunning tactics, so could make further progress. First-timers in the hunt - watch the betting closely.

Verdict

MAC HARDY made a pleasing debut over the course and distance. Greenness may have cost him the win and with the run under the belt he can make amends. It is interesting the well-bred son of Vercingetorix started his career late as a four-year-old. MOON HARVEST raced in front of MAC HARDY for most of the journey last time and should show good toe again. He has the better draw and has room for improvement so could prove a big threat. PATH TO FREEDOM, KING'S SPEAR and LORD EDWARD aren't without hope either and there are newcomers to watch out for as well.

Verdict

STEALTH ATTACK made good improvement in her last start but was no match for feature-raced Bevies Delight. She should have a bigger chance against this line-up. HONEY LAND has also met some smart individuals and run decent races on the poly. She has shown good pace and should overcome her draw. MISS DORA turned in ordinary performances on turf but then lit up in her first try on this surface. She is well bred and should get better with time. ROYAL OASIS has only found one better in her last two at this venue and would be deserving. More can earn.

Verdict

MCCARTNEY should strip a lot fitter after being made to work hard by deserving Geronimo last time. He should enjoy the longer distance and could be the one to catch this time. DOUBLE SILVER hasn't done badly from the barrier positions he was given and needs to find a little more to win it. The longer trip will be more to his liking. ROYAL POINT has taken time to come to hand and probably just needs to learn how to race. He has the best of the draws and should be in the money. ULTIMATE JEWEL and RAPTOR ISLAND may have needed gelding and can get closer.

Verdict

DIANI is being raced quickly after winning two in a row. He is obviously very well and could complete a hat-trick in this MR 64 Handicap. A plum draw will make it hard for the opposition to take him on. GENERAL HANCOCK turned in a decent display, much improving on his form and could be on the up again. He races for a stable in very good form. GET CARTER impressed with a change of tactics on Wednesday and if conditions are good again, he could threaten. His two wins have come over 1200m. Verdict

HIGH VELOCITY was well backed in his last start and came through to win in good style. He could just follow up as he looks well placed again. However, a wide draw may allow both FIERY DUKE and JOSHUA HOTSNAKE to get first run on him. The former is knocking hard on both poly and turf and would be deserving. JOSHUA HOTSNAKE needs the race run to suit as he boasts a good finish. MOVIE MAGIC could turn it around with HIGH VELOCITY at the weights after finishing second to the latter last time. ARROW'S MARK gave signs he may be coming back to best.

Verdict

SON OF ZEUS has shown versatility, winning races on the Polytrack in the Eastern Cape. He ran a fair race on his return to this region and having drawn better should finish closer. METALLIC GOLD is back to his best distance after running two crackers over further. He should give another good account of himself. FLYING PETER sharpened up over the minimum distance after a rest and could produce an eye-catching run. He is capable of a strong finish. STANLEY PARK didn't disgrace himself last time and could build on that effort. GENTLEMAN'S WAY needs to be taken seriously as well.
