Verdict

I LIKE IT HOT was supported on debut. She turned in a fair performance from a wide draw and the runner-up who finished just ahead came out to win soon after. Looks a big runner on Polytrack debut. SEA OF TEARS showed good pace and didn't weaken badly when only just beaten by older runners. She should enjoy the poly and should be right there. There are well-bred first-timers in the mix - trainer comments are positive on TRIPTOROYALTY and COPPER VIEW, follow the betting moves closely.

Verdict

Not a strong field and if either of the first-timers has any ability could take it. BEE GOLD is by promising stallion Gold Standard out of a Silvano mare and could be the one that attracts attention. NAMAQUA DOVE doesn't know how to run a bad race and keeps on earning for her connections. She is a bit of a professional maiden but wasn't disgraced against some fair males last time and has the best of the draws. GUEST GETORIXX should hold LADIES DAY on her last run and having finished runner up will be looking to go one better. AUTUMN SPIRIT and LADIES DAY aren't without claims.

Verdict

It could get close between IN THE SUMMERTIME and NATIONAL DREAM. The former disappointed a bit but didn't run badly when fourth, showing he may need ground. He finished a few lengths ahead of NATIONAL DREAM who had to overcome a bad draw and was hampered. The latter has drawn better this time but it's anybody's guess who prefers the poly more. AMERICAN STYLE relished this longer distance last time. She got beat a neck and even if taking on males could get the job done. ATLANTIC CITY needed his last run on the Highveld and back home could threaten.

Verdict

If WAVE WARRIOR had drawn better he'd rate hard to beat. He ran a cracker on poly debut and is ready to pick up from where he left off when doing fair work as a young three-year-old. Still, it looks the right race. ANOTHERDAYINAFRICA is one to watch out for. He fluffed his lines as one of the favourites last time but the longer distance didn't suit and he could put his early speed to use on the poly and stretch them out. DENVER put aside a poor marathon effort staying on over this distance last time. CLEAN SLATE should also prefer this trip. RED MAHOGANY and RAVENS SWORD are capable.

Verdict

RUNNING RIFLES didn't mind running after rest, he finished second again and stripping fitter he can get back into the winner's enclosure. SPY MASTER finished 3,50 lengths behind RUNNING RIFLES but is not one to take lightly as he is back on the poly where he is one from one and could set the record straight. GENTLEMAN'S WAY showed something like his best when dropping in class last time. He has drawn better but will need to find more for the win. Verdict

PETRA looked the one last time but relinquished the win to BOLDLY GO who suddenly showed she can do it on the Polytrack. PETRA was coughing in that race and could be over that affliction this time. BOLDLY GO raced fresh in that encounter and has gone up in the ratings but needs to be respected. The one to watch could be QUEEN OF SHADOWS who had a go in the Grade 2 SA Fillies Guineas last time. She needed that run and could be one that has been looking for the synthetic track. WINTER FURI did well from a wide draw and has now drawn well - watch out. More can score.

Verdict

Here come the tough races - go wide in these. MAJORCA PALACE has flattered to deceive and is a hard horse to catch right. He is dropping in class and must surely take advantage having drawn well again. VALIENTE turned in an eye-catching run from the back of the field last time. He has a similar record at this venue and should be in the fight. CUPID'S SONG is an interesting runner. He appears better over further but has blinkers on after a rest and could pop up at decent odds. Stablemates ONE TOO MANY and IMPARTIAL both disappointed when fancied but could now turn up.
