The fleet-footed PRECIOUS SOCKS (5) has returned in good order, leading into the straight at both appearances this prep only to find one better in 1100m races. Back a little in trip today which suits. Should control the race and will be very hard to peg back. GREAT BOULDER (1) showed little early pace when resuming last start over this course and distance before making some late ground to grab fourth. Capable of a better run with added fitness today. PSYCHOKINESIS (6) is back for a second campaign after placing three from six in the maiden prep. Probably needs a bit further but is sure to be running on well. ON THE RECORD (3) first up with blinkers on might be the big improver out of the Freedman yard. Solid early support suggests she might turn the corner. That looks the race, with SANS WHISPER (2) best of the others.

MOON YANCO (7) made it three minor placings from as many runs this prep when she was out-sprinted but kept trying and finished third over 1000m here three weeks ago. Looking for this trip now. LUMIN (6) has registered similar figures at her first two starts, most recently leading to the 100m mark before being swamped and finishing fifth over 1300m at Bendigo. Coming back to 1200m looks a good move. Doesn't need to improve that much to take this out. WIND DREAMER (10) is back from a 24-week break. ZIAVERA (9) was forced to race wide last time out over this course and distance but showed great tenacity to charge home and get up for second. No luck at the barrier draw again today but she will be peaking at the third run back so watch for her late. BLACK OPAL (1) was ridden off the pace in a change of tactics last time and did a good job to close for second over 1100m here despite a tough run four and five deep. Horror gate doesn't help but if he puts in like last time another top-three finish is on the cards. Will take a lot from that run and can easily turn the tables. STAR OF MANHATTAN (9) was tightened for room in the closing stages when a very close fifth over this distance at Moe recently. Down in grade so although new to this surface is sure to be thereabouts. JELT (6) led from the outset and just prevailed when resuming over 905m at Albury a fortnight ago.
