Jockey bookings suggest that Bronterre is the main hope for trainer Richard Hannon and the Oasis Dream colt, who is partnered by Pat Dobbs, commands the utmost respect following a comfortable debut success at Salisbury in July. Preference, however, is for experience and JUSTINEO is taken to regain the winning thread following a respectable effort in the Gimcrack last time. This step back to Listed company will help but don't rule out the chances of My Lucky Liz at the prices.

C&D winner Mac Love, who proved a great success story for trainer Stef Higgins, has his first run for new trainer Roger Charlton and might be of particular interest to each-way punters if ground conditions dry out. French Navy has done little wrong thus far in his relatively short career but the the vote is given to the filly CEILIDH HOUSE. Form over this trip on easy ground at Doncaster last November reads well and having performed well on her seasonal bow in the Warwickshire Oaks, the form of which reads really well.
The well-regarded French Navy is on the upgrade and can make his return to Group 3 company a winning one. Slumber leaves the impression he has more to offer and could prove the biggest danger ahead of Ceilidh House.

The good to soft ground expected is likely to bring out the best in the speedy Monsieur Chevalier and while the 114-rated Markab also warrants respect despite and having endured lacklustre season, it is BLANCHE DUBAWI who gets the nod. The progressive C&D winner can continue on an upward curve following an impressive success here last time. Son Of The Cat and Desert Law appeal most of the remainder.
Markab has ostensibly disappointed this year, but he will find it easier to dominate down in class, and is taken to get back to winning ways. With Monsieur Chevalier unconvincing since Ascot, perhaps Desert Law will provide most resistance.

If Kalk Bay can recapture his solid three-year-old form, the son of Hawk Wing, who is tried with the first time tongue tie, can get competitive off this mark of 90. THE CONFESSOR continues to go well and was a fine second in a hot handicap at Ascot in July most recently. There is a big pot in him and good to soft ground will suit but keep an eye on the rejuvenated Wake Up Call who is another with a chance at a tempting price.
The Confessor was back to his very best when second at Ascot last time and stands a good chance of regaining the winning thread here. Space Station is also firing and with the benefit of the best draw should give it another good shot. Captain Bertie has twice let favourite backers down this term, but remains a threat if everything clicks into place.

A positive market move for either of the newcomers could be worth following and while News Show appeals most of those, CHERRY STREET gets the vote. His debut Kempton form appears to be working out nicely after Stateos, fifth at Kempton, was seen to good affect at Epsom recently. The colt is likely to have come on for that initial experience and while Nant Saeson can benefit from having had three starts already, the Dylan Thomas colt Daneking is another who commands respect.
Daneking was given a considerate introduction on his first run at Newmarket last month and is expected to leave that effort behind up in trip. Cherry Street is also open to improvement after a promising debut and enters the reckoning with stablemate Nant Saeson, while News Show could figure prominently at the first time of asking.

Circumvent has winning form in similar company and having come down yet another 1lb in the ratings, the Paul Cole charge looks dangerously well treated if he can recapture his best form. Last year's Cambridgeshire Handicap victor Credit Swap is also worthy of consideration in preparation for another tilt at the Autumn cavalry charge but THISTLE BIRD gets the nod. The filly has taken a considerable hike in the ratings (9lb) but is open to plenty of improvement and breeding alone suggests she could be a step ahead of the assessor with plenty more in the offing.
Thistle Bird and Making Eyes have more to offer in handicaps and are of obvious interest off their revised marks, but Shavansky is holding his form well and looks the value option. Benandonner completes the shortlist.
