Enjoyed the testing ground and won going away by 7 1/2l off a 7lb lower mark in a handicap at Uttoxeter last time. Effective at 2m on heavy ground, the step up in trip may suit and he appears to be progressing well.

Motazzen invariably runs well here and won this race 12 months ago, but he's off 13lb higher this year which may anchor his chances. MORNING MAYHEM was a surprise winner at Uttoxeter last week and he only has to carry a 7lb penalty now and that leaves him 3lb well in. If he can repeat that form he could win again, leaving Bradman as the pick for third spot.
Motazzen won this last year and is dangerous having been in good form prior to a poor effort last time. He is likely to bounce back and contend, but preference is for MORNING MAYHEM who got his act together in very convincing fashion last time. He'll need the step-up in trip on the likely better ground especially under a penalty but looks a horse going the right way. An outsider that may go well is King Of Highways who disappointed when favourite over fences last time, but is well treated on his novice hurdle form and gets head gear to chivvy him along.

Chris Gordon has a good record here and will be hoing to add to that with SUPERSTYLIN, a winner at Worcester in September and placed three times since. Up a couple of furlongs off the same mark as last time, he looks all set for another big run. Jackeline needs to brush up on her jumping to have a say here, so McGrath From Clune is the bigger danger despite unseating at Taunton last time out.
Small field but three of the four could easily win it. Jackeline made a fair start over fences without quite staying 2m6f, this drop back could see her retrun to her hurdles form and she'd be a big player if doing so. Superstylin is in good form over the bigger obstacles and should also threat, but the one with the biggest upside is MCGRATH FROM CLUNE. He travelled very well last time and looked sure to be first or second when unseating two out. His best form in Ireland makes him look well handicapped here and there is a suspicion he has steadily recaptured that.

Chris Gordon and the Moore family have won five of the last seven renewals of this contest and they may have it between them once more. FORTUNE TIMMY took a maiden hurdle here in October and ran well enough when third at Kempton to be the pick. Fashion Hunter was a huge price when fourth at Newbury first time out, suggesting he can only improve for the experience, and he may get the better of bumper winner Rathkenny in the race for second.
Fashion Hunter ran well on debut and is open to marked improvement and Fountains Blenhein has run creditably both starts over hurdles. The pair set a good standard, but it may be worth taking a chance with RATHKENNY. He caught the eye winning his bumper. He's a big, raw-boned future chaser and doesn't carry his tail or set his ears that generously, but did show loads of potential on his rules debut. It is guesswork, but he could be well above this level. Ultimately, the biggest threat may be Fortune Timmy, the form of his third at Kempton last time looking the pick on offer.

It is hard to get away from JALISCO STAR, who thumped her rivals at Uttoxeter to record a fourth hurdling success. A 7lb rise makes things tougher for the mare but Sean O'Connor's 7lb claim will be a big help, and each of her rivals have a bit to prove. Malago Rose has let down favourite backers on each of her last two starts but cannot be ruled out, and neither can Kruger Park, who ought to benefit from a drop in class.
It is quite hard to get away from JALISCO STAR in this. She won cosily last time and there are question marks over all of the remainder. Second best could Dwight K Schrute returning to hurdles off what could be a generous mark after falling on his chase debut. Kruger Park will also be popular having been a good fourth at Newbury on his latest start. He is far from reliable.

GRAND CONQUEROR didn't show much in novice/maiden events, but it was a different story when sent handicapping for the first time at Plumpton. Neil Mulholland's charge must shoulder a penalty for that cosy success and a drop in trip might not play to his strengths, but each of these rivals have questions to answer too. Risk It All struggled at Doncaster but could show more on his second start after wind surgery, whilst No Mean Feat is taken to come home in front of Ami Bondhu.
It is quite hard to get away from Ami Bondhu here on ratings, but he ran poorly after a break last time and has had another short absence since and that is enough to oppose him. In contrast GRAND CONQUEROR ran his best race last time and gives the impression there may be a bit more to come. Risk It All started off well over hurdles but lost his form and is yet to recapture it after a wind operation. That said, he probably has a bit better chance than No Mean Feat who hasn't run since September 2024.

Esperti dug deep when regaining the winning thread at Ffos Las and a 4lb higher mark shouldn't prevent another bold showing. However, it could be worth taking a chance on chase debutant MINELLA KAISER, who may have needed his third-placed handicap bow at Plumpton last month. Midnight Gold's mark continues to fall and she could also have a say in a first-time visor.
ESPERTI has won two of his last three and could score away from Ffos Las for once here. He is still quite well treated at the weights and the conditions hold no fears. Ronnies Reflection is probably the biggest danger though the trip may stretch him. At a price Record High is risky but dangerous on a going day.

DOUBLE THE DANCE should have learned plenty from finishing second on his Rules bow at Ascot and holds leading claims. The four-year-old boasts a 3m win between the flags and this extended 2m1f could eke out some improvement. Half Hoping did little wrong when narrowly denied on his bumper debut at Chepstow and another good account is forecast, while market support for newcomer Style De Folie would be interesting.
Obviously the three unraced under rules could be anything and it would be wise to look to the market as a guide to their chances. It is likely though that this will be fought out between those with decent form already and that narrows it down to Lancelot Vivo, Half Hoping and Double The Dance. The last-named pair were the most impressive on their debuts and should be first and second with preference for DOUBLE THE DANCE who is essntially down in class here. He was beaten by one that looks like being a very good horse on his only start under rules and should find it a bit easier to stay in front this time.
