TRIBAL DANCE has to shoulder a big weight but Ben Case's gelding made all in great style when fitted with a visor for the first time at Huntingdon on Monday and the 7lb penalty will not be enough to stop him if in the same mood this afternoon. Twin Bud has gone up 1lb for her Plumpton second, which looks a shade harsh on the face of it, while recent course third Sulpius has been eased 2lb which brings him into calculations.
Sulpius looked a real staying type when third on his return over shorter here last month and could prove too strong for recent winner Tribal Dance, now having his stamina drawn out further. Kavegirl is another who ought to make her presence felt.

Chris Timmons got a fine tune out of AZULADA BAY when the pair combined for an eased-down 34-length victory over this C&D last week and although hit with a 9lb hike in the handicap, Mark Rimell's charge looks one to stick with while evidently in such great heart. If the ground dries up, Hill Forts Gloria looks the one to side with having shown a liking for a decent surface when third at Newton Abbot when last seen in June. Always Bold is the other to consider.
This looks another good opening for recent C&D winner Azulada Bay, with Its A Classic the tentative forecast pick.

CURRENT EVENT didn't prove up to the task in a Grade 2 novice hurdle at Chepstow last month but he earned a rating of 134 over the smaller obstacles and looks sure to make his mark at some stage now switched to fences. Super Directa is the other chasing newcomer to take seriously, while Harvest Song's fencing introduction at Southwell back in May ended with a fall but it's too soon to be writing him off.
This looks an ideal opening for the useful hurdler Current Event now chasing, with Super Directa perhaps the danger on his first start over fences also.

PRET A THOU returns to hurdles off a very tempting mark and might be able to make a successful seasonal reappearance. The eight-year-old landed two novice hurdles and a handicap chase last season (all on good to soft or worse), including when making a winning start to the campaign 12 months ago. Bally Legend is less exposed than some and is entitled to come on for his Chepstow comeback run, while Dhaafer and Old Way could yet have more to offer.
Ned Ludd went close to winning this 12 months ago and fit and well from the Flat should make another bold bid, but the vote goes to Bally Legend who looks open to further progress following a promising return at Chepstow last month. Gaelic Silver is worth watching for any signs of support on his British debut given the level he showed over jumps in France.

BENDANT didn't show a great deal on his first three hurdle starts last term but his recent Chepstow second gave the impression he has started handicap life with a manageable rating and it is hoped he can build on that effort off the same mark this afternoon. Swainson, High Oscar and Killfinnan Castle have also tasted success over this C&D in the past and the latter of that trio might give the selection something to think about today.
Bendant has been found a good opportunity for his first crack over the larger obstacles and looks by far the most likely winner if his jumping holds up. High Oscar and Stop The Show look the most likely to benefit if the selection fails to come up to scratch.

REY NACARADO is entitled to come on for his reappearance, when weakening close home to finish third here in September, and he's been given a nice break since. Sent off a well-backed favourite on that occasion, he is fancied to recoup losses this afternoon. Aldertune hasn't done much wrong in novice chases and is potentially well treated now sent handicapping, while Giles Cross, Fortification and Rapid Increase are others for the shortlist in a seemingly open contest.

KARINGA DANCER improved with each run in bumpers last season and the switch to hurdles could be the making of Paul Nicholls' charge with the yard in form. Ambion Wood landed a moderate Uttoxeter bumper when last sighted in March, should know his job first time out over timber and is feared most. Petit Ecuyer shaped as if this longer trip would suit when a staying-on second at Lingfield last time and is another to consider.
Ambion Wood and Karinga Dancer both shaped with plenty of promise in bumpers and look the pair to concentrate on here, with preference for the former. Petit Ecuyer can take third.
