Hard to rule any of these out but preference is for WANA PLAY, one of two from the Anthony Ferraro barn. Winner of a $5k claimer over C&D three starts ago, he's run in tougher company twice since and can get beck to winning ways, dropped in class tonight. Fire In His Eyes won in this grade latest and looks the one for the exacta but Keep In Touch could go close.
SONG FOR PUPCAKE ran no sort of race in this grade over C&D this month on her first outing following a short break. She's been running with credit, however, all summer in much better races and only needs to recapture some of that form to land this. G K's Miracle and Warrior Lass were third and fourth in this grade over C&D this month and can fight out the minor honours.
After a string of good efforts in better company, PITCHING PENNIES, just failed to land a similar contest to this over the extended 5f here this month. With this longer trip in her favour, she can go one better tonight. Anna Mae Jones, Here's the Beauty and St. Pete Beach can fight it out for the minor money.
DRINK AT LAST CALL isn't the most consistent but won an $8k claimer over C&D two starts ago in some style and can take this if reproducing just a portion of that form here. Cat Phone and Panamanian Playboy have both won in this grade recently and look the pick of the remainder.
Hard to rule any of these out but it might pay to side with the lightly-raced TOM'S HERITAGE. He hasn't proved the most consistent but he just missed out in this grade over C&D two starts ago and should be open to further improvement after just five starts. Bud Lightning, Foxy Mulder and Millennium Pride have all run well in this grade and could go close but Mikemambo has finished in front of several of these rivals recently and looks the one for the exacta.
NEVERABETTERCITY advertised his well-being when second over C&D last time (Cherokee Rich back in third) and is expected to go one better while evidently at one with himself and with conditions known to suit. Senegal and Just a Whim can battle it out for the minor honours.
RUNAWAY DUNNE arrives here right on top of her game and is taken to complete a C&D hat-trick. The main danger appears to be Victorious Song, who has recorded three of her four career victories at this venue. Wise Awake looks best of the rest.
PRO'S PAL couldn't have won any easier over the extended 5f here latest and shouldn't have any problems following up over this slightly longer trip if he returns in the same mood. Good Karma looks the best option for the exacta. Hidden Expense is also capable of making his presence felt.
DESK REFERENCE returned an easy winner over 6f here latest and looks the one to be on in the hope she can reproduce that form over this slightly shorter trip. She showed plenty of speed last time and looks the most likely winner. Elaine's Pride and My Oh Maya have place possibilities.
