BOND BROKER was well beaten into second at Ludlow last month, but sets the standard on his chase bow with a rating of 120. Paul Nicholls has his string in fine order at present and the gelding could make it four wins from his last five outings. Handlethekettle made every yard to score easily at Taunton last month and is another to take seriously on his fencing introduction, while King Roly isn't ruled out either.
A tight contest where the trio all have a chance on their chase debuts. HANDLETHEKETTLE appeals most though given the preference he showed for a quick surface over hurdles. His maiden form in that discipline worked out well and he was thought well enough of to contest a Graded contest. He is entitled to come on for his winning reapearance and can get the better of Bond Broker who wasn't disgraced when losing his unbeaten hurdles record last time. He looked green that day and should have more to offer in this sphere. The same can be said of King Roly but he might find this trip on the sharp side

Bluebella failed to justify favouritism at Lingfield when last seen, but remains on a workable mark and makes her first start for the Sam Drinkwater stable. However, SASSIFIED finished second in consecutive appearances before running too badly to be true at Exeter in December. The seven-year-old may have needed his break and can make a winning return to the fray. Kepagge completes the shortlist.
DOM MCCOY returned to form back over hurdles last time and can improve on his 50% strike rate in this sphere off only 2lb higher. Kepagge has a good record at this venue and though he was poor last time he did look in need of the run. He isn't ruled out off a much reduced mark whilst the unexposed The Flying Poet will also provide a threat. He will appreciate this drop in trip on handicap debut but may just need the outing.

A lot more was expected of OBSESSEDWITHYOU when she was comfortably beaten on her chasing debut at Warwick earlier in the month. Jamie Snowden's six-year-old is likely to have learned a great deal from that experience and lurks on an appealing mark. ROXANNE has impressed on both starts since joining the in-form Dan Skelton stable, and this track should suit as she looks to bring up the hat-trick under a double penalty. The five-year-old may have too much pace for Sir Galahad, who arrives with similar claims having won both outings over hurdles in taking fashion. Chanelle Noir can pick up the pieces if the aforementioned pair struggle.
A clear match race between the unbeaten pair SIR GALAHAD and Roxanne. The former was untested when outclassing his rivals last time but did beat some rivals who have run well since on debut. NORTHERN SYMPHONIE continues to go from strength to strength and a 4lb rise for her most recent success at Chepstow may not be enough to prevent her from landing the hat-trick. A taking winner at Plumpton recently off 6lb lower, D'jo Dela Barriere may have plenty of improvement to come, while the consistent Ri Na Cuirte is another to consider as he goes in search of a first victory since last November.
A tight contest where none of the quartet can really be ruled out. It is the locally trained D'JO DELA BARRIERE who appeals most though as he had a bit in hand when beating a course specialist last time getting on top at the finish and he is unexposed over staying trips. This can go the way of MISS POPALONG, who caught the eye when keeping on from off the pace for third at Exeter last time out. With a more prominent ride on this occasion, she may be able to get off the mark at the main expense of Blackacre, who has been in consistent form of late without getting his head in front. Junior Des Mottes and Lucky Bounce cannot be ruled out either.
MISS POPALONG was given too much to do last time in an effort to see out the trip but could make amends now her stamina is proven. The form of that race has worked out well and she should prove better than her current rating. Little Miller is yet to match the form of her point win but ought to relish this step up in trip on handicap debut and is feared most ahead of consistent strong stayer Blackacre.
