These conditions should suit and Tim Vaughan's charge can get the better of Don Sebastian, who wears first-time cheekpieces now dropped in grade, and Cosmic Statesman, who wears a first-time visor. Recent Market Rasen winner Overtoujay completes the shortlist.

AMIRAL COLLONGES landed the odds in fine style here four weeks ago and a 7lb should still see James Evans' charge remain very competitive in a contest lacking depth. Dropping down in distance shouldn't be an issue and he can get the better of Speed Demon, who arrives here for a trainer that is 6-17 with chasers at the venue in the last five years, and Shady Glen, whose connections try a new headgear combination to try and give him an extra spark.

It is interesting that the powerful Middleham Park operation are keen to retain ownership of the four-year-old and he can make a winning start in this sphere. Basil Berry is another tackling this sphere for the first time, while Coroberee looks best of those with hurdles experience.

Eyes Of A Tiger beat a classy rival in a novice chase at Sedgefield last time out and he appears to be on a workable mark on his handicap bow over fences. That said, the pick is STYNES, who has been very fairly treated for his win at Worcester with just a 2lb rise. The second from that event won his next start by 14 lengths, which makes his rise look even more fair. Get Rhythm is a winning pointer and any market support would have to be noted.

With most of these arriving here in questionable form the obvious pick is clearly PRINCE KHURRAM given that he made the frame in a handicap hurdle at Sedgefield last time out. Buckontupence has a big chance based on her form from 2016 but his most recent efforts are a big concern. The rest do not inspire any confidence at all but Beaumont's Party completes the shortlist.

A mediocre event to close the card but the marginal preference is for COURT DISMISSED, who was beaten by less than a length from just 1lb lower in the ratings at Bangor a couple of weeks ago. Shaiyzar is another who arrives here having filled the runner-up position in his most recent outing, while Larkhall and Rogue Dancer are the pick of the remaining field.
