ASHBURY is winless from four starts over the larger obstacles, but she has twice filled the runner-up spot and displayed real improvement at Tipperary last time out. Expected to build on that performance going up to 2m5f, the relatively lightly-raced mare can shed her maiden at the expense of Hill Rock. The daughter of Beneficial makes her debut under Rules and is feared most bringing some useful point-to-point form to the table, while Kalico Kim completes the shortlist.

Ashbury looks sure to give her supporters another decent run for their money following another solid runner-up effort at Tipperary in midweek, but Thynetocatcher is slightly better class than her rivals at best, and is worth chancing to make a winning start over fences on the back of a recent pipe-opener. Dual point winner Hill Rock may fare best of the rest.

PRIMROSEANDBLUE has won three times over hurdles in his relatively short career thus far and this looks a more realistic assignment to the one he was given on his chase bow at Kilbeggan in August. Entitled to have stripped fitter for that first run in 323 days, Willie Mullins' charge is expected to have been well prepared and might take some stopping. Shrapnel knows his way around here and looks an obvious danger for Gordon Elliott, while Usa moved well when second at Ballinrobe last month.

Noel Meade's charge won on his Down Royal debut in a bumper last November and went on to finish a respectable third in the Grade 1 Champion Bumper at the Punchestown Festival in April. The son of Milan is expected to have been well readied for his hurdling bow and should take all of the beating. Afterclass makes his racecourse debut for the potent Dessie Hughes/Bryan Cooper combination and is noted along with Bishopslough.

GO PADDY GO has been handed 4lb for finishing a head second to World Citizen at Ballinrobe last month and, although he's yet to get his head in front, that hike looks fair and another bold performance looks assured against these rivals. Sir Loujay finished a creditable third the last day and also comes into the reckoning, while the booking of Davy Russell for King Of Oriel screams confidence and he could be of interest to each-way players.

Bank Bonus ended his career with Andrew Balding on a winning note at Chester last September, and though not troubling the judge over hurdles to date, he may be a different proposition now handicapping. Debt To Society has been knocking on the door recently, and equalled his third in a Listowel handicap hurdle when filling the places in a chase at Ballinrobe a few days later, and warrants respect in this form, while My Aya is worth a market check on his return from a break.

VICALUS got her head in front at Ballinrobe recently and with her confidence hopefully boosted by that success, she can defy the 6lb rise in the weights she shoulders here. Mrs Mac Veale and Valours Minion were sent off co-favourites with two others at Gowran Park last week, and the first named fared the much the better, finishing a creditable fifth, and she can reassert her authority here. Brian The Warrior travelled well last time and could thrive over this increased trip.
