A WAVE OF THE SEA has taken really well to hurdling and after just going under on his jumping bow, he accounted for stable companion Cerberus at Punchestown before toying with his rivals in what is usually an informative Down Royal affair. Cerberus has since gone one better in emphatic fashion over C&D and is a major danger on 4lb better terms. Dinard Rose justified a short price at Gowran last week and isn't out of this in receipt of the fillies' allowance.

The Samcro bubble burst last term but the former star novice hurdler has always appealed as a budding chaser and he got his career back on track with a comfortable Down Royal victory on his first crack at the larger obstacles. He is still capable of rising to the very top, but he will do well to successfully concede 8lb to FAKIR D'OUDAIRIES. One of the best juvenile hurdlers last season, Joseph O'Brien's charge claimed the scalp of Melon on his debut over Irish fences and may have too much speed for Samcro. Ronald Pump keeps raising his game and can't be dismissed lightly, but this is too short for Irish National hero Burrows Saint.
