Molaf will have gone into plenty of notebooks when third ahead of Winter Fog and Snappish last time, but POLAR gets the vote. Michael McCarthy's gelding improved dramatically for a gelding operation and drop in class when second on his first start in seven months here last time and looks the one to beat.
NO PARKING HERE had Continental Union behind when second here last time and the switch from turf to all-weather should pose no problems. Bourbon Traffic was not far behind the two aforementioned horses last time and could fare better.
Crazy Sexy Munny finished ahead of Joyous last time and could be capable of confirming that form, but they both may have to play second fiddle to CA DREAMER, who ran a cracker when second over track and trip last time.
BABY'S GOT CLASS had no answer to the impressive winner last time, but she pulled over a length clear of Secret Paranoia to take second spot and could go one better in this. Miss Boisterous went close when last tried in this grade and is another for the shortlist.
AWESOME DUDE was well beaten on debut before running a much more encouraging fourth on his second start. He then got within a nose of success last time and might be hard to stop if he keeps on that trajectory. Desert Dude showed up well on debut and is a danger, while Sensational Rocket looks the pick of the newcomers.
FAIRY TALE BLISS had three-quarters of a length in hand of A Lonna At The Top when second here last time and there appears no reason why she can't confirm her superiority and strike here. Music Babe is likely to have something to say about the outcome as she won when last tried on this surface.
Earnest won nicely two starts ago, beating KOA CAT into third, but the latter has since won well and finished ahead of Earnest in a very valuable race last time. Dropped in class, Steve Sherman's gelding can strike. Fellow class dropper Herdsman is another to consider.
QUICK AND SILVER had been running well in more valuable claimers than this before biting off more than he could chew in stakes company last time. Back down in a more feasible grade, he can get the better of Midnight Destiny, who was a good second when last seen in May, and Del Mar third Cats Blame.
Omache Kid faded out of contention late on last time but might fare better down slightly in class, while Midvale Magic went close two starts ago before a less impressive effort in better company latest. MANY MOODS drops even further down the class ladder than those two and has a recent Fresno win to his name, so he gets the vote.
