A very weak race. STEPITUPBABY tends not to finish off a race but in a low quality event as this, she may keep going. RUBY WOO has improved with the aid of blinkers and could deliver her best performance. PEARL OF AFRICA was not beaten far last time out and must be considered. Verdict

ON YOUR MARKS may have lacked fitness last time out and was very disappointing. He is capable of much better and could recoup losses. HIKARU was only run out of it late last time out when the rider dropped the crop. He should fight out the finish once again. Stable companion GRACE FROM ABOVE should prefer this longer distance to his local debut and could make vast improvement. QUEEN LOUISE will give them something to catch in the home straight.

An open looking race. BUMRAH is unreliable but was not disgraced last time out and does have Warren Kennedy in the irons. Stable companion STAR EFFECT will prefer it back on the turf this time and has a winning chance but he is a difficult horse to win with. Verdict

There was not much between a number of these runners when they finished in a heap behind PRINCESS ZENA. The Alan Greeff-trained filly has improved of late and has every chance of completing the hat-trick. Stable companion QUE COSAS runs well for jockey Greg Cheyne and could be the biggest threat. CATCH THE CAT, GALLIC GIRL and BRIDESMAID BLUES were not far behind last time out and are better off at the weights with PRINCESS ZENA. PEARL DANCER and TAKE CONTROL are both coming here with confidence after solid maiden wins.

Verdict

A tough race to find the winner. NORFOLK PINE found it tough in a better race than this last time out and deserves respect in this line-up. AMERICAN LANDING has been dropping in the merit ratings and did better last time out. This course and distance suits him. SILVER TIARA will do a lot better than what she did last time out. DANILO and INDY GO are both in with a chance. GREEK FIRE was full of running when winning on local debut. He has not run to that level since but can score if at his best.

Verdict

CAIRON is carded to run on Friday 6 August and that run needs to be looked at. He won well on local debut and has a winning chance. Stable companion BOLD STRIKE is not an easy horse to win with but does have the ability to win a race like this. All the best form from CHARLIE MCCREEVY has been on the Polytrack but maybe his trainer knows something we do not. ALASKAN FATE has disappointed in her last two starts but is clearly capable of doing better.

Verdict

HONEY PIE has not won for some time but does have a winning chance having her first run for trainer Gavin Smith. PARIS OPERA continues to hold her form well and should fight out the finish once again. AL FALAK has been a disappointment since a nice debut win. TEVYE has been consistent of late and could finish in the money. RAZOR RED did well to win on debut and can follow up if showing that level of form.
