Verdict

COUP LE PROBLEME makes her debut and is likely to need the experience. it is a weak race and she could sneak a minor place perhaps. LADONNA MIA has some fair form and should contest the finish once again. LEMON PEPPER was ahead of both LADONNA MIA and TAKE CONTROL last week on the turf. It is now the Polytrack so let us see what happens this time. TAKE CONTROL may have just needed the local debut and could strip fitter this time around.

Verdict

CHOCOLATE RUFFLES was quite some way back last time but that was a decent field and she should do a lot better this time around. GRACE LIGHTNING and JET BOMBER have been inconsistent of late but both have done enough to suggest they could be competitive in a race like this. SUGAR SNAP showed some promise on debut and does look the one to beat with improvement expected.

CLETO ran on nicely on his local debut. That was on the turf and he will need to repeat it on the Polytrack but he does have a winning chance. HIKARU has been runner-up in his last two starts. ANCIENT TIMES has made good progress this year. He is coming off two very easy wins and it would not be a surprise if he were to complete the hat-trick. PALO ALTO was well beaten behind ANCIENT TIMES the last time they met but it surely going to be a lot closer this time. Verdict

Trainer Gavin Smith looks to have a decent hand with his two runners, MOJITO MAGIC and PLUVIOPHILE. Both are course-and-distance suited and should run big races. MICROBE is a very unreliable mare but every now and then she fights off all rivals and she always deserves some respect. ELEGANT GENERAL did not show his best last time out. Verdict

A competitive looking race. BLINGKING was a wide margin winner of his local debut. The runner-up was hard-ridden but did win earlier this weak. BLINGKING can follow-up against tougher this time. COLD FUSION won on local debut and although returning from a break can be considered. MAGIC BLAZE makes his local debut so watch the betting. DIPLADENIA is returning from a lengthy break but is also not out of it. OPERA SWING was caught out of her ground on local debut. Look for a much better run this time around.
