SWEET CAKE did not show her best last time out. She had shown improvement with the aid of blinkers and she can bounce back to beat these rivals if showing her best form. EXTRACTION did not seem to like the Polytrack last time and can be real threat this time. FIRE FESTIVAL showed some improvement last time out but could need to find a bit more to win. She has a place chance. AUDACIOUS did not like the Polytrack last time and will not be a surprise winner. SUMMER HEAT makes her debut and could be ready for it.

Verdict

ZATARA MAGIC does not always show his best side but he certainly did last time out and he won impressively. He can follow up under similar conditions. Stable companion RUNAWAY SONG has been a bit of a disappointment of late but is distance suited and can go close to winning. BOURNEMOUTH has not shown his best of late but was not disgraced last time out and would not be a surprise winner. FIREALLEY tries a lot further and could be the surprise package of the race. HAROLD THE DUKE has been disappointing of late but is capable of earning some more money.

Verdict

A competitive race. OLIVER TWIST is improving and could be a threat to these rivals. KOHANA showed good improvement in his latest start and should have more to offer. LUCKY SPIRIT makes his local debut and could improve. CORAL CREEK takes some hard riding but is improving and should be right there at the finish. PRINCE ANTONIO was not disgraced when fourth on debut and should like this longer distance so has to be considered a possible winner.

Verdict

An interesting opening leg to the Pick 6. JACK IN THE GREEN has been a disappointment so far and flopped last time when trying blinkers. Trainer Justin Snaith has been lethal in his raids to the Eastern Cape lately. STORM BOULEVARD has been disappointing of late but could benefit from a very patient ride. ANCHOR MAN showed improvement last time out and has a winning chance. NORDIC PRINCE has made the trip from the Western Cape and would not be a surprise winner. DONNY'S BOY is improving and should contest the finish once again.

A very open-looking leg for exotics like the Pick 6 and it might pay to include as many as possible. ARABIAN RED is clearly unreliable but capable of scoring again. MY AMI BEACH won well last time out and could be worth including again. CATCH YOUR BREATH is capable of a strong finish when in the mood and could pop up. LADY WRITER and BEAU KALA are both at the top of their game and would not be surprise winners. NO GREATER LOVE and QUERANDI are capable of surprising if showing their best form.

NO PLACE LIKE HOME has won over various distances and deserves the utmost respect in this line-up. DOWNING SEVEN quickened to win a nice race last time out and may well follow up. EL REY VIENE is back over a more suitable distance and can be a threat. ALADO'S PRIDE has won a couple of times this year and could make the frame. Verdict

A small field but we do see the presence of a quality sprinter in CRUISE CONTROL and some in-form rivals to take him on. CRUISE CONTROL was not disgraced in KZN earlier this year and can bounce back to beat these rivals. Jockey Louie Mxothwa has a very good record when aboard this gelding. SPEED MACHINE loves a soft track and could be a threat if conditions like that happen. EVIES FIRST has beaten CRUISE CONTROL and deserves some respect. TEATRO was an easy winner last time he raced on the turf. BLUE HOLLY has made the trip from the Western Cape so deserves consideration.

Verdict

INNAMORARE is in very good form and is distance-suited. Trainer Justin Snaith can add to his very good recent record at this course. BRENDEN JAMES has not shown his best of late but is always a threat. SLINGS AND ARROWS is better than what he has been showing recently and could earn some money. MASKED VIGILANTE is surely at his very best on the Polytrack but is in good form and should be right there at the finish yet again. TREASURE HUNT returned to her best to win last time out but takes on better this time around.
